Hi folks!

I had a pretty busy day and can't stay for long but wanted to show you the lovely card I received from our own Very Dear Readers, Jane and Keith.

DR Elmore, ICU every morning but can never stay long enough to wait for a reply.   :)

I hope the recording is going very well for BK and Mr Haines.  I would like to say hello to Mr Haines someday.

Producers read this site and that means others read it as well?  Yikes!  How unseemly!   :D ;)

So where is my Dukedom?

Believe it or not, that's the kind of thing genealogy researchers ask us all the time!

What a cute card, Danise!

Thanks for being worried that I was working overtime.  I'm looking forward to a 4-day weekend coming up, so I should be able to regroup a little.

Der Brucer will be hogging the television sets tonight.

On one set he will be taping two hours of shows, ditto on set two.  He'll be watching set three.

Two hours of Law and Order.

House.

Veronica Mars.

Blind Justice.

Judging Amy.

Of all of this, the only show I care for at all is House.  After that, I'll be in my room, reading.

Danged TV hog.

And one of the sets he'll be taping on is MY set in MY KITCHEN!!!  Bleh!

 ;D

Has anyone been watching Veronica Mars?  I planned on giving it a try until I discovered we don't get the station it's on.

Hi all, Sugar Westwood here

This name made me think of the Anne Francis detective series, Honey West.

My name would be Sunday Brooks.  Sunday was our first dog (bet ya can't guess what day we got her on, huh?)  And Brooks Street was where we lived.

My dad was really into using the day/month when an animal was bought.  We had June Baby (one of my ponies), Nova, Fri, etc.

DR GINNY - I bet you do.

My favorite question I used to get at the DEPT OF LABOR - even though they had called the wrong division:

"My boss fired me.  Can he do that?"  :P

Getting close to closing time, so I have to go.

When I get home, DS Rob will be there, having come home from college this evening to vote.  We'll probably visit for a while and listen for election results, so I most likely won't be back online tonight.  See y'all tomorrow - with good levy news, I hope!

Another day when I was on the switchboard, a lady called and wanted to file a complaint against the company where her husband worked because she thought she had been insulted on the telephone.

She was very upset when I told her that one had to work for a company to file a complaint against it as an employee.

LOL DRGINNY.

I would just say, Yes.  Indiana is an "employment at will" state, so as long as there was no discrimination, he can do that.

And the next sentence would ALWAYS be:  Oh, I was discriminated against.

Usually because they were ALWAYS late.

Danise the card does look nice.  :) You’re welcome.

Combining the name of my first female cat and the first word of our  street, just call me Gaia Meadow.  Hmmm..that sounds more like a Hippy name.  ;D

Frisky Husky Way...doesn't quite have a ring to it. :P Actually, Husky Way is where my parents live now, where we moved when I was 10 years old.  I don't remember any street names before that.

Or currently, housemate's pet and street:  Ebonie 68th Ct.

No, that doesn't work, either! ::)

I don't know George, I think Husky Way would be a great porn star name.

How disillusional was Bette Davis by the time they got ready to do the film of WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?  She was already way past it by then and would have been disastrous.  Personally, Bette is an actress for me who has not aged well.  She just seems so mannered to me and so busy "acting" whenever I happen to  catch her these days.

I know what you mean.  I still think she was wonderful in DARK VICTORY and a few other movies, and then there are those where I just wonder what happened.

Cici Sampson, checking in.  Cici was my first hamster, the first pet I owned all by myself.  The first family pet was a basenji named Twerp...and I flat out refuse to use it :)

Eight o'clock and the jernt is empty???  Oh, the skammen.

I'm back (finally) - the session went beautifully.  Guy got today's four songs, plus we went back and did full takes on five of yesterday's songs, just to have them.  He nailed his high note at the end of Born Too Late, and even did one more full take of the difficult Craig Carnelia song.  Juliana did wonderfully on her duet (two takes - in and out) and our chorale did well despite no one having ever heard or seen a piece of music in advance of the session.  More later.

I did have my celebratory dinner - Miss Tammy Minoff and Miss Juliana A. Hansen accompanied me to Musso and Frank.  Unfortunately, it was the worst Musso experience I've ever had - terrible old waiter who was overtaxed (I actually said to him at one point, "Stay at this table until you take our order") and I had to speak to the host twice about it.  That, and the food was just not up to their usual high standards.  Oh, well.

It's so nice not to have to worry about the voice box anymore.  I don't have to have EmergenC tonight, I don't have to chew gum and I don't have to suck on a Ricola.  I do have to take a Jacuzzi later and that I will do with some glee.
