I had an okay but obviously too brief three hours sleep from 3 to 6 a.m., following a late night second wind and insomnia that lasted up to that point. My usual drowsy-making tricks all failed me (reading, listening to a movie on TV or the classical FM station at very low volume, etc.). And when I finally was asleep, what was my reward? An annoying dream that included a scene in which I was already awake after having had too little sleep.
