I have been reading books to help me vote in the Goodreads Best Books of 2021.  Hell of a Book was not nominated.

It’s relatively recent. Don’t know how many people have read it yet. Winning the National Book Award will change that.

Which is why I put a hold on it before knowing if I want to read it.  I am 26 out of 5 copies.

John Archibald from castrecl had been wonderful as Santa in ELF in Hudson Florida (near tampa) holidays 2019.   They combined the George Wendt and Adam Heller roles.  (I think he was one of the few Equity people in that production.

I think this is a totally local production. The elves are being played by children.

Apologies to anyone who's seen this one a million times.
Today was my first time:

I'm giving up drinking until Christmas.

Sorry, wrong punctuation!

I'm giving up.  Drinking until Christmas.

Works for me, especially this year…

;D

How is Richard doing?

He’s in some pain and I think the reality of the situation is beginning to sink in for both of us.  I may drink straight through to New Year’s.

I'd never seen that one, either!  And as they say, it's not an old joke if you've never heard (or seen) it before.  :))

Everywhere I looked, the Moderna was by appointment, and here at the local Safeway, the Pfizer was available as a walk-in, so I decided to get it over with.

I'd heard that the efficacy between the two are comparable, so I went with what was available. :)

It makes sense to get what is available.

Now get that second Shingrix :)

I know, right??  When I got the first shot, I was told that there was a shortage of doses and that Kaiser would let me know when I could get the second dose, but I haven't heard anything from them!

I'm up, I'm up - eleven hours of straight-through needed sleep. Groggy, but happy to have gotten that much sleep, but of course most of the day is now gone. Must go pick up yesterday's packages.

And now, it's been 10 minutes since I got the shot and I feel fine, so I'm off to my sister's, then I'll usher downtown.

It might take 24-48 hours for a reaction, DR George - if you have one at all.

I think it is about time to call them and let them go.  You really have gone too long between shots.
