Happy Anniversary BK.  It sure doesn't seem like two years.  Through this site I've made friends all over the world and through these friends some wonderful CD trades.  I met two movie stars (BK and Susan), learned about singers and foreign shows I had never heard of and had some interesting disagreements.

Here's to many more anniversaries at the most popular site on the internet.

DR Andrea, if you are from Montreal then why is your Harry hairy? :)

I think it's because I am unable to speak proper english.

Happy Anniversary!

Or rather...

Question:

Yesterday on a repeat of Bravo Presents the Best of Broadway, Miss Linda Eder sang "Don't Rain on My Parade" and this is the lyric she sang:

"I'll march my band out.
I'll beat my drum.
And if I'm FOUND out -
Your turn at bat, Sir,
I guess I didn't make it.
Hat, sir, at least I didn't fake it."

And she sang it that way twice.

I THOUGHT the lyric was:

"And if I'm FANNED out...."  not "...found out.."  to complete the baseball reference in the next line.

Have I been hearing it wrong all this time????  HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations, Dear BK, on achieving this great milestone.  This site proves that from tsuris can come much mazel.  A blessing on your head (oh, a Fiddler on the Roof reference) for creating such a warm and enjoyable place for people from so many different places and walks of life to gather and relish each others' company.

I think we should also add a bevy (or bovine) of thanks to Mr. Donald Feltham for all of his wonderful radio shows.  Also a round (or square) of thanks to all the wonderful people who were interviewed by Bruce Kimmel for HHW.. and of course to the always smiling Juliana A. Hansen for keeping us thoroughly modern!

I'm way behind reading the posts on this holiday weekend, but wanted to send anniversary wishes.

May we all be as merry as Mary when she decided to marry Kerry and not stay with her sister Carrie.

Sheldon Harnick, a native of Chicago, was criticized for a rhyme in the New York-set Fiorello!...

There is faith, hope and charity
Hard won prosperity
In a little tin box.

He was told that's not a rhyme to New Yorkers.  Since everything I know I learned from musical comedies, to me it rhymes.

Good morning!  What a lovely celebration - it's cheered me right up, since I had a truly miserable night coughing so much that I thought I would actually cough myself to death.  The problem is that there's a persistent tickle in my throat that makes me want to clear my throat ever ten seconds.  As soon as I do so, the coughing starts and it's all quite gross and is becoming very painful.  Still and all, I must be at work bright and early tomorrow, so will do nothing but rest all the livelong day today.

Meanwhile, let's keep these posts comin'.  I see there are lots of errant and truant Hainsies/Kimlets on this most glorious day.  Rouse them to action I say or bitch-slap them from here to eternity I say.

Nice to be back home where I belong (A Jerry Herman reference). Mr. Craig, your pictures were priceless; brought the BIGGEST smile to my slightly exhausted face.

I'll be an hour late to the chat tonight, but PLEASE stay on-line as I'd love to take part. The wonderful folks here have SO enriched my life these past few months. And some wonderful, deep friendships have been established or sustained through the interaction here.

You should be VERY proud of yourself, bk, for shepherding this. And long, grateful thanks to Mr. Mark and Mr. Craig for keeping everything running so smoothly and making an environment that we all feel so secure in.

Btw, I know yesterday was the whining day, but I am so frustrated with the PBS website.  They are supposed to air the Wonderful Town concert from London with Audra McDonald (some time in December). Well since all PBS stations are different, I like to check out mine before getting my hopes up. Does anyone else find it ridiculously difficult to locate a program? One of my PBS stations is MountainLake/ Plattsburgh NY. One would think I could just type in "Wonderful Town concert" or Audra McDonald. Or some combination. But nothing! Zippo. Once December comes around it will be much easier (because they have a calendar for the current month). But sometimes I wonder why they bother having a website, when they make it nearly impossible to find anything on it!

Seconding the comments of Mr. Matt H noted above. Thanks BK and Mark and Craig for all your work. The site is hoppin' today!!!

Jennifer, it's in the 40s here in NYC today. Not bad for November.

On your mark, get set, POST!!!

There are probably some running smilies but I didn't see them.

The race is on Jennifer and may the best H/K win. If it can't be me, I hope it's you  :D

And, of course, a major thank-you to Mr. Donald Feltham, the best DJ on all the Internet, who consistently comes up with terrific radio shows, one of which will be up later today.

Now, where in tarnation are our other regulars?  I find it Unseemly that they have not joined in the celebration.

Yes, Jennifer, badly designed Web sites are a particular bete noir with me. I do a lot of research on the Internet for work and there are times when I go to a major organization's Web site and feel completely lost. And I consider myself very computer literate. Why, indeed.

I haven't been to the PBS site for a while. I'll look at it during work tomorrow. It loads faster on a high-speed site.
