I feel bad for my cousin who has had her Christmas plans cancelled.  Her husband has Epstein-Barr.  It truly is a miracle that he is here, and is walking.

The sardines have been broiled. The peas have been steeped in garlic-dill butter. A red bell pepper and celery salad has been dressed. Time for dinner.

Omicron might not be as deadly as Delta, however, it does spread faster.

After reading, over & over, filtered, well fitted masks are now needed I have just stocked up on our KF94 masks.  We know these masks give us a secure fit.  While both of our masks are from Korea we are wearing different brands & sizes.

"...a basic cloth mask isn’t going to cut it anymore.

You have an indoor location, not good circulation, maybe you don't know if people are vaccinated or not and you just have cloth masks and you're in kind of a stuffy room, yeah, it's gonna fail sooner than a very tightly filtering mask"

Back from the Christmas Eve "do" at my cousin Debra's.  The steak was good and served with baked potato and salad.

Company was good.  We ate in two shifts...there were 14 of us and only seating for 10 at a time.

Am happy to be home.  My Uncle Rock was a pill most of the evening...and as soon as he was finished, he was ready to be taken back home regardless of what anyone else wanted.  Oh, well.

At his peak of health, he was barely tolerable.  Now that my Uncle Rock is infirm and requires assistance doing almost everything, he is downright miserable intolerable.  To me, at any rate.  There.  I've left my feelings here and can move on with a heart full of cheer for everyone.

My cousin Debra is a saint.  She tends to his every need and never complains.

The bird is going crazy. Someone in the neighborhood is shooting off fireworks, and the noise is making him anxious.

I went outside to get a look, but I didn't see anything.

I'm now watching A Charlie Brown Christmas. Love that music. It never gets old.

I’ve been reading Solid Ivory. Not a traditional or linear autobiography. In fact, in the section I’m now on, he’s writing about other people, like George Cukor and Vanessa Redgrave.

The Do is Done and as Dos go it was wonderful. Only eleven of us, but the conversation was fun, everyone loved this year's sauce and said it was the best ever, I got the pasta al dente, the tuna pasta salad was great and, of course, I made too much food, even cutting back to three pounds of spaghetti. Many desserts were brought, all excellent. I've cleaned up some, and later I'll do the rest of the clean-up.
