I wonder if we'll at least tie last year's Tony bash, post-wise?  We're actually close.

14% wins vs. nominations must have been a shock for one show!

As I won't get to see the Tony Awards for a week or so, I shall post fascinating news from the land of OZ.  No! Not Mr Jackman's phone number.

I drove my car today.  About 15 miles to the nearest shopping centre to claim medical insurance rebate etc. No problems.  Good for my confidence too. I drove back as well!!

The scene from Putnam County with Al Sharpton's bit was hysterical! ;D

Indeed Jack. Better than predicted I believe.  The Tony Awards were live on cable here. (don't have it). DR WEL has taped the show for me so I get to see the NY commercials.  Hope then to pass on the tape to François and UK reader from long ago, Allan.
The Kimlet world is very much alive outside the site too.

The Putnam County Spelling Bee's number is, to my mind, the only one that might actually get some BUTTS into the theater.  Dirty Rotten Scoundrels was second best - I don't think Light in the Piazza's number will get one person to see the show, same with La Cage or Sweet Charity.

Not too much razzle in the dazzle.

Why have we slowed to a crawl?

The same teenage idiots who were saying that this was one of the best Tony shows, have already forgotten they said it and are now agreeing with others who are saying it was not so hot.  Typical.

But, to read the posts on certain other sites is to appreciate the brightness of everyone on this site.

Wow. I actually stayed awake for the whole show this time!

As the chances I'll ever get to NYC again are slim to none, I'll see the ones that tour.

Now I must get some sleep. I have to get up at 4 a.m. again.

I like Marcia Cross' dress.

Cherry Jones kissed her partner!  It's the first lesbian kiss that I think I've seen...there have been a lot of kisses between men, but I don't remember any women partners kissing each other

Very good news, Tom!
Thank you DR George.

I remember Mr Irwin's very funny act on the Tony Awards a few years back and of course on the Sondheim at Carnegie Hall concert.

I guess the others from the NW are more atuned to Berlin this evening.

The Spamalot selection was not so hot - no context.  I'm told it's supposed to be a spoof of American Idol.  So?  No context - no humor.

If Phil Spector produced a Cast Recording of AGYG would it be a Berlin Wall of sound.

A bit surprised by Irwin's win, as I saw the performance.  Still, I didn't see Crudup, Bosco or O'Byrne - I do hear the latter is really good, though.

I want reality TV to go away, to be banished from the earth, to be put to death, to be tortured with flaming hot pincers, to have its eyes put out.
