Thanks for the AAR vibes. They were about as worthless as the vibes to sell that damned Ohio property.
My ride was scheduled for 11:26 a.m.
At 11:01, I called; the ride will be on time.
At 11:21 I called; the driver will be there in 10 minutes.
At 11:33 I called; the driver will be there in 5 minutes.
At 11:45 I called; the driver will be there in 5 minutes.
As I was standing out on 82nd Street, my neighbor Steve Williford came out of the building; he's been livingh in LA, and I hadn't seen him in years. I told him I was getting really pissed at AAR and I was going to wallk to the corder for a taxi. He volunteered to do that, he walked to the corner of Broadway, and returned in a taxi. I in the meantime called again; the driver will be there in 5 minutes.
As he helped me into the taxi, he gave me $10 "for the taxi ride," God bless him. The taxi got me to Lenox Hill by 12:15. At 12:03 the AAR driver caled to tell me he was outside my building. I told him plenty, none of it nice, since the ass was not just jerking me around but lying to the AAR dispatchers.
