I have one of those supremely annoying skin splits on the tip of my right index finger. It was hell playing piano yesterday, and it's even more sensitve right now, typing this post with a healing cream and band-aid on it. It's a good thing I have three days before the next rehearsal.

I get one of these every now and then, mostly in winter, and they're HELL for musicians. A bass playing friend gets them, and I can't even imagine that. This is the first for me that's in such an unnegotiable location as that all-important fingertip.

White cotton gloves and Vaseline. Before bedtime soak your hands in a lot of Vaseline or Aquaphore, put on white cotton gloves and sleep on it. Works great.

Will do. Thank you!

It will take a couple of days, but do it regularly while you're playing a gig.

DR Elmore -- do you have any contacts at Concord Theatricals who it would be appropriate to share?

I'll also find out who our rep is in connection with our license.

I need someone to appeal to for an advance copy of the score to STREETS OF NEW YORK. I have twice viewed it in their handy "digital perusal" app (five bucks for two weeks access), but it's online and slow and too small to work with, let alone attempt to read on a music stand. I imagine they'll say no, but I gotta try. (If only it was MTI...)

Because I have a subscription to HBO, I am told I also have HBO MAX....

So last night I watched the first episode of PEACEMAKER starring Mr. John Cena.  It was pretty funny....so I decided to watch the other four available episodes - but I have to pay for those......for some reason.....so I guess I will never see them.

But I like the opening title sequence.  It makes me laugh.

Who or what is Dickon?

I still have to make another citrus rustic cake. Third one since I’ve been here. They just sort of magically disappear.

DR Ron Pulliam - sorry about your eyes. (I think it was your eyes?) Just don't rub avocados on them. You might develop guacoma.

Thanks for the AAR vibes. They were about as worthless as the vibes to sell that damned Ohio property.

My ride was scheduled for  11:26 a.m.
At 11:01, I called; the ride will be on time.
At 11:21 I called; the driver will be there in 10 minutes.
At 11:33 I called; the driver will be there in 5 minutes.
At 11:45 I called; the driver will be there in 5 minutes.
As I was standing out on 82nd Street, my neighbor Steve Williford came out of the building; he's been livingh in LA, and I hadn't seen him in years. I told him I was getting really pissed at AAR and I was going to wallk to the corder for a taxi. He volunteered to do that, he walked to the corner of Broadway, and returned in a taxi. I in the meantime called again; the driver will be there in 5 minutes.

As he helped me into the taxi, he gave me $10 "for the taxi ride," God bless him. The taxi got me to Lenox Hill by 12:15. At 12:03 the AAR driver caled to tell me he was outside my building. I told him plenty, none of it nice, since the ass was not just jerking me around but lying to the AAR dispatchers.

DR ChasSmith, sorry, but the only person I know at Concord is the one in charge of my royalties.
