Color me aggravated, annoyed or whatever. Just wish the day had been a little better.

Yesterday my GrubHub driver was on a bicycle. He told me he does all his deliveries this way.

Michael Tilson Thomas is retiring because he has brain cancer.

Oh! So sorry to hear this! But what a fine career!

Sorry. Maybe it's one of those universal bad days with the planets all out of whack.

I was wondering about that very thing just a few hours ago.

Had a Chinese chicken salad for food. That's it for today, so another low-cal day.

Had a Zoom with David Wechter, and now I'll write the entire final sequence - I'll try to finish it over the weekend. He's started work on a new show - a development reality thing, so his days are now all that, so I figured I'd just write it and then he can read and we can keep what we like and he can re-write what he doesn't.

My knickers are in a twist today. Once again I've been wrestling with Cedars to obtain an appointment. It's one thing to have to wait 2-3 months to see a specialist, but it's now that long a wait to see my PCP. That just doesn't work. For many years I couldn't get health insurance because I have scoliosis (an abnormal spinal curve) and had to pay for everything myself. Thanks to Medicare, I now have excellent health insurance, but can't obtain the care I need because of problems with the medical group (in this case, Cedars-Sinai). Gawd! And they don't seem to think it's a problem!

It was the same for Keith when he called for an appointment.  Prior to covid there was a shortage of physicians, at least primary ones.  Since covid many have retired or reduced their hours.

DR Jeanne if you have an issues, vs an annual check-up, I would expect you to get in sooner.  If you need blood work done you should be able to request that ahead of time.

Jane, yes, I recommended THE WAR THAT SAVED MY LIFE. Really moving, isn't it?

I used the "search" option and nothing came up.  I am glad my memory was correct.  I am going to begin the sequel tonight.  While I don't expect it to be as good I hope I like it.

Again, thank you.

Good for him.  Did he tell you how many miles a day he rides his bike making deliveries?

I haven't been on here for a while. Because on February 18th my mom went to exercise at her pool. And had a heart attack and died. So needless to say things have not been great since then. It's just so shocking. And it's been very hard for the family to deal with as she went exercising every day.

Oh, my goodness.  My condolences to you and your family. :(

There is a tiny Ukrainian cheesecake and espresso bar in town. Over the weekend, they announced that all profits were going to military efforts in their homeland. They sold out of everything and raised more than $72,000. That’s so cool.

Nice!

Two days ago, Amazon announced it was opening a second brick-and-morter store in San Antonio. Today, it announced it was closing all its stores.

WTH?? :o

I got an email that the new West Side Story is now officially streaming on Disney+. I haven't checked yet to see if it's true.

I got assigned a new project at work today. There's always the dis-ease of being unsure and/or uncertain, but also the welcome challenge of learning something new. So I am grateful.

This afternoon between 3:30 and 4:30 I had the most extraordinary, moving, and heartbreaking experience. It's taken Thatch four years to be really comfortable around me, but he's remained skittish and ready to run at any minute. After I fed the cats at 3:00, I lay down for a bit to let my legs stop aching. I was lying on my back with a pillow at my knees, and Thatch jumped onto my bed, went to the foot to check out Annabelle, who lay buried in the kitty quilt, turned back to me, and walked up my legs to my chest, where he lay down, facing me. I petted him, tickled him under his chin, and he lay there for maybe fifteen minutes. Then he sat up, groomed himself and walked away.

Maybe ten minutes later he returned and settled on my chest/ Then, licking my fingers, he stretched out on his side, using the crook of my right arm to prevent his falling off me and the bed. He extended his front paws up to my chin and brushed my face and seemed bery content to lie there as long as I would let him. I started to worry that his heart was giving out and that he was going to die in my arms, and, as this enormous painful bulge of emotion filled my chest till I feared my heart would explode, I gently rocked him and wept. There was so much love.

That is so sweet, Larry. :)

I hope nobody had just been hired to work in the San Antonio store.

Or worse, quit a job to work at that store.
