Well, you've read the notes, you're feeling fine and fruity for having read the notes, and now it is time for you to post until the fruity cows come home.

Quote from Rodzinski at the end of last night's notes...
Quote
Where is he when he's supposed to be onstage??

I was doing I Remember Mama a few years back as Papa, and I had a scene that began with me clowning around with my youngest daughter with some sugar cubes. Curtain opens, lights up, me at kitchen table, NO DAUGHTER! I ad-libbed something lame like, "Such a morning!" It was a nightmare. Then as another actress shows up to cover, the daughter comes running on. She had been having fun with friends and forgot about her scene. Egads

Apparently he "got caught up in a conversation in the dressing room," causing his missed entrance.

I, too, played Papa once, back in high school.  Don't recall my Dagmar ever being missing, thankfully.

I'm hopeful that OzDerek is well enough to see "Dirty Dancing" - previews here this weekend - (not the Lambada) this evening. He will post a report if has been able to attend.

Trivia! My copies of Theater World start at #27 BK. No answer there. I guess you are missing early ones.

I have a complete run, Volume one all the way through the current volume (a new one comes out later this year).  All in jacket except five.  It's amazing to see who was on Broadway back in the late forties and early fifties.

TOD: Well, I like apples a lot, grapes, oranges, kiwis, lemons... I guess it's easier to think of fruits I don't dig: grapefruits not so much, pears not so much.

Blueberries, yeah. Having an army of kids as me mother did, she would take us to these U PICK places in Indiana. We'd be given plastic buckets and told to go fill them with blueberries. Take them home, freeze them. Cold blueberries on a day like today would be swell.

Of course Mr Belafonte knew how to count bananas as did The Tarriers. Mr Belafonte also knew about knights being gay. (I may have misinterpreted that though).

That Tarriers single is another I "inherited" from my mom's box o' 45s. Has a great b-side called "No Hidin' Place".

Tomovoz, do you have a song called "The Cheater" by Bob Kuban and the In-men? I can't find this by hook or crook.

Which dust jackets am I missing?  Volume 1,5,6,7,9,17, and 20.  That's seven, but I have two on their way to me, just can't remember which.

Cool, Tom. You let me know if you ever need any tunes. Although I think you said you have every pop hit through the 70s or so!
I mis-read your dog joke. You beat me fair and square!

The Monkees have a tune called "Apples, Peaches, Bananas and Pears" which might hold the fruit-song record.
