THE WANING HOURS OF THE EVENING

Well, you've read the notes, the notes waned, and now it is time for you to post until the waning cows come home.

Annabelle is lying next to mew on the computer table and we are listening to Rachmaninov's LIturgy of St John Chrysostom. It's quite beautiful and peaceful.

There are many fine recordings of that to choose from.

Many strange and disjointed dreams. The last of which, I was departing a restaurant, and Jonathan Winters greeted me by name.

Today would have been the 69th birthday of John McGlinn. If you own a recording of his you like, play a track in his memory. My favorite remains "Barney O'Flynn" from his unreleased Babes in Toyland.

I have absolutely no plans today although I would like to finish scoring the first part of the overture.

I am listening to "Music from Man of La Mancha" by Joe Sherman and the Washington Squares. It's pretty wild.

I don't think I'll be arising at 3:00am tomorrow to watch the funeral. But it will probably be available to watch later.

You’d never know it’s going to be 85 today, what with me running heat right now to take the chill off. But that’s the time of year we’re in.

I will listen to some Babes in Toyland today.

It's incredible how young McGlinn was when he left.

Sunday!

I imagine if I can find the theeder today, we will enjoy the show.  Time will tell.

I like the Elvis DR singdaw - perhaps I shall purchase one.

His namesake is still being very quiet.  But today he has discovered the swing and is enjoying it.

Some newly adopted pets stay silent for a while. When Nathan brought little Kali home, she didn’t make a sound for quite a long time. Well, it seemed long to us. Our vet told us that’s okay, she just doesn’t have anything she needs to say yet. Sure enough, that eventually changed.

It's incredible how young McGlinn was when he left.

The curse of junk food, megalomania, and poverty, I fear.
