Oops....I forgot to also mention that today, December 4th, is the 21st Anniversary of the very first Broadway Radio Show!!!  Today's episode is amazingly #762!!!

That's amazing!  Congratulations, Donald!

In October 2017, my friend Martin Yates asked me to write a holiday overture for the Christmas concerts of his company, West End International. I bugged him to get a sound system recording of the piece, but he told me the sound men and union wouldn't allow it. In 2018, he surprised me with a recording he or his wife Alison made on their cell phone. Several cuts were made, mostly by cutting the second A sections of "It's the Most Wonderful Time" and "I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm," but there are a couple - the intro to "Mary's Boy Child" and a snippet of the fugue - I'd like to see restored. I wish there were a better recording, but I think this will do for now.

So, here's Martin's edit of my overture, conducted by Michael England  with the Royal Northern Sinfonia. Enjoy!

My book group in Ashland used to do the stealing game at our holiday party.  It was fun.

We used to do it at my work.

That post was her goodbye.  It seems she passed away 5 days later in hospice :(

Oh, no.  My condolences, Jane.

Sunday afternoon greetings!  I’m in charge of this year’s holiday luncheon for one of my ladies’ groups.  It’s tomorrow in the room where DR Elmore and I, along with many friends, did a lot of theatre together.  I’ll be glad when this extravaganza is OVER!
