I did not stay last night and missed some excitement when, apparently, the obstruction resolved. He feels much better today, but will have laparoscopic surgery tomorrow to see if we can find out what has been causing these episodes (of which this was the most severe). Vibes for an uneventful outcome would be appreciated.

Oh dear. I've heard a bowel obstruction is one of the most painful things you can have. I'm glad Fr. Richard is doing better. Vibes for his recovery.
I bought a shirt I didn’t really need, but liked.
Good Morning - I miraculously got the car to the mechanic and made the 2 mile walk home - getting there was miraculous, not the walk LOL. Anyway, we shall see what we shall see. The weather is nice today, sort of windy as I'm by the bay, but the walk was lovely and I'm thankful it wasn't raining for that reason.

My father had a few blockages as a result of diverticulitis. The first time he needed surgery, after that they went away before it was necessary. I am relieved DR Richard did not need surgery for it.

Yes, that surgery is not too pleasant. I know from personal experience.
