I was just perusing Veselka's menu and salivating.
https://www.veselka.com/menu/dinner/

It is, unless you are a vegetarian who does not like sauerkraut.  Keith would be happy there as he likes both borscht & sauerkraut. Many of the dishes are the same as those my mother cooked using her mother-in-law's recipes.

I am so glad I was retired before the pandemic struck and workplaces became ghost towns.

You did seem to enjoy your office enviornment.

I have not watched Succession.  We have watched the first two episode of the new season of Ted Lasso.  They were both wonderful.

I am appalled at the choreography in The Tremeloes video...but it certainly is active.

But it doesn't come close to the famous Pan's People......who at least in this video couldn't keep a dog interested.

Astonishing...that's certainly one word to describe them. ;)

I have finally calmed down over that Staples mess - it really burns my ass that I have to return tomorrow with my receipt and redo everything - and I will tell more about my appointment.

Between 2015 and 2019, I was seeing Dr Re for cortisone injections in my hips and knees. He had told me his surgery specialty was shoulder replacement, but his office  partner did the knees and hips replacements. When I last saw him in September 2019, as he predicted, the injections did nothing, but we talked about a hip or knee replacement in spring 2020. Well, the pandemic and my kidney tumor shot that to hell.

So, when I saw Dr Kassapidis this morning, they told me my hip and knee x-rays from 2021 were too old, and a nice young technician named Kevin took new x-rays. Dr Kassapidis compared them with the last ones I'd had taken for Dr Re and told me the knees were fine but the hip deterioration was really bad. He suggested replacing one hip soon and the other later in the year or next.

So, he and his assistant - I forget her name - answered my questions. Surgery is always on Wednesday at Lenox Hill Hospital, site of my kidney surgery and radiation treatments, and I could expect a stay of four days. So, I would go in on Wednesday and get out on Sunday or Monday, depending on how the therapy was going. He said the surgery took aroud 45 minutes, and I would be up and walking after maybe 2-3 hours.

So, Margaret just called and I am tentatively scheduled for May 31. This may change, depending on neighbors and friends available to care for the cats.
