DR Chas, have you heard the song “Once Upon A December”?
It’s from Anastasia, and sung beautifully by Liz Callaway.
It’s beautiful and extremely moving.

Nice to hear a 26-piece orchestra.
I was able to see the original cast as well as the L.A. production with George Hearn.
Len Cariou’s final exit gave me chills, as did many other scenes.

On This Day in 1954, Bill Hailey released "Rock Around the Clock," the first rock song to top the Billboard charts.

TOD:

Another ASK BK question:

Is this one of the Bagley albums that Kritzerland has reissued?

BK’s version is wonderful.

Just listened to the 2023 opening of the Sweeney Todd revival.

Got a few goosebumps there. Flashbacks to my junior year.

Thanks, BK! I know I must have ordered it at the time it was first offered.
(There's a lot of those to keep track of)        ;D

Singdaw (and anyone else), have you ever been to https://castalbums.org/ ? You can create a profile and keep track if all the musical theater/theatre/theeder recordings* that you own, want to own, or just want to know about.  I've been using if for years, and have even contributed to the database...especially BK's Kritzerland recordings. :)

*Not operas or classical music recordings, though.

A friend of mine likes to use the phrase "at ruinous cost" frequently.

That's a great phrase. ;D

"Won't You Go Home, Bill Bailey" was not written about Bill Hailey.

It's cocktail hour here (there's been time for so few of them lately), and I don't care who knows it.

Not to get political (again) or anything, but another judge strikes again...in a good way (again):

Trump prohibited from posting evidence in hush money case to social media, judge rules

The judge largely sided with a request from the Manhattan district attorney's office about what Trump can publicly say about certain aspects of the case.

I just posted on Facebook George Santos is the metaphor for the entire GOP: corrupt and rotten to the core.

It was removed for violating community standards.

I just saw the post still up. Meanwhile, you must have a "friend" who likes to rat you out to Zuck.

Having a James Beard-style cheeseburger with the cheese on the inside of the meat. Plenty of jalapeńos in there too. Plus, fried okra.
