Been listening to The Immortal King Rao, a dystopian novel that was a Pulitzer finalist. I’m 3/4 of the way through and not terribly interested. It’s partially about the man who created the Coconut (not Apple, get it?). His computer becomes so ubiquitous that its algorithm becomes a god-like force. Then climate wipes out everything. It wanders back and forth in time. Nothing is too surprising.

Doug is working like a mad thing, copying my scores quickly and quite beautifully

hey everyone!  There's a new Broadway Radio Show up now on the site  It's a day early because I will be traveling tomorrow.  This episode is Broadway Goes Pop, Part Two as we hear stars of the musical stage covering great pop songs, such as Liz Callaway singing The Mamas & The Papas, Josh Groban singing Kenny Loggins, and many more!

I like a shoo-fly pie, but ya had to go to Amish country to get those.

I used to get it in Pennsylvania. A small piece was enough.

DR MBARNUM posted on Facebook this week, so perhaps he is inching his way back to HHW.

Really. I will have to look.

The hydrangeas I paid $12 for earlier this spring are now selling for $26 on this day before Mother’s Day.

That doesn't surprise me.

Watching the Great Performances Broadway celebration on PBS. Uneven, but there are moments!

I survived Costco and the supermarket.

I too survived Costco! Then the line at the border to get back into my town was insane, so we detoured to the in-laws’ place.

When I do go to Costco, they sell a particular brand (can't think of the name now) of pre-made pesto that is really good.

Most of the ones I've tried from the supermarket have been so disappointing.

He retired from working in the office of the State Attorney General and returned part time to his former job - at the local funeral emporium.

I believe I have told the story before about his young wife Melissa.  She never wore makeup and was just a country gal.

Jim said he offered to help her do her makeup, but she wouldn't lie down on the bed so he could do it.

It took me awhile to laugh.....but then I couldn't stop.

I have to print out the eulogy in BIG PRINT so I'll be able to read it without my glasses.

Do you buy frozen food at Costco?

I hope DR GEORGE enjoys sitzing today.

I did!  And I'm pretty sure everyone else did, too. :)
