For decades they were made of mirror material and the legend was that gnomes in the garden would become transfixed by their own images and you could trap them and get rid of them.

Ours is currently 35.   It's a bit humid, though.  And grasses/weeds/bushes are growing almost beyond human abilities to keep them under control.

On my way home, I noticed that gas prices were $2.94 a gallon. This morning the price is $3.29.

I have started a thriller called Falling by T.J. Newman. It involves a plane crash. I’m glad I waited until today to start it, now that I am planted on the ground.

The time I read the Dean Koontz novel that begins with a plane crash, while I was flying, I laughed out loud.

That's quite a jump in price!

Of course here, Fred Meyer has a gas station (that's open to anyone) and it typically has gas that can be as much as 50¢ less than the Chevron that literally right across the street...every day!

I can't imagine paying that much more knowing that just right across the street it's so much cheaper.  But that's just me.
