It wasn't a disaster, but there were a lot of wasted unpopped kernels.

That can happen even when the measurements are correct.

Sort of stirring from a nap.

Tired, not too sore?  Still, it must have been worth it.

It did not rain yet today.

I got home about 4:15 p.m. and mowed the front, side, and back yards.....finished at about 5:20.......much less time with the self-propelled mower so of course LESS gasoline!

No quite as exhausting - but still tiring.....

I'm glad you appreciate your new mower.  How long did it used to take you?

A tajine or tagine is a North African dish, named after the earthenware pot in which it is cooked. It is also called maraq or marqa

I would have one, but it’s too much rice for me.

I gave one as a gift. It was handmade in Morocco. Beautifully ornate on the outside. All of the images were etched into it.

One of the worst restaurant meals I can remember having when I was a critic involved a dish called tagine. It was served in the dish and dramatically presented at the table. But it wasn’t tagine. All of the ingredients had been cooked separately and then layered into the dish. Blech.

Broadway character actor Walter Charles has died. I saw him in La Cage. His wife wrote a lovely tribute: “My beautiful husband and friend passed away today. The last piece of music that I played for him was The Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams. Walter Charles is free."

It is a very lovely tribute.  It sounds as if he had been sick for awhile :(

Futzing and finessing was maddening, but it all came out fine - just a lot of date and time confusion plus some moving stuff around.

Had a long telephonic call, shaved and showered, and so far I've written five new pages and will write one more before I leave for dinner.
