Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World was where my date took me the evening we graduated Jr. High. We went with his best friend, also in our class. I don't remember who he took. First we had dinner at a nice restaurant. He seemed like half my class was at the movie.

I saw The Sound of Music twice, first time on a date and then again with Keith, Penny, and other friends. I purchased my own ticket for that show.

Roadshow movies were, indeed, a thing in Detroit in the ‘50s and ‘60s. I remember “Windjammer” and “How the West was Won” in Cinerama. Others, not necessarily in order:
