When we worked at theaters our manager would call other theaters and ask for employees to get in free.

It's a nice day here - temps in the low 80's.  Windows open and no AC on.....just a few fans blowing.

My callback was fine. I learned the dance, and I really didn't suck, but I'm not a dancer.  I didn't have to read because the scenes I would have read were with the Martha character who was pre-cast (OK by me as they were up front about it) she wasn't going to be there today, so I got to leave after the dance audition.  Not before I asked the director if she needed me to come back and read, she basically told me I was cast - and asked if I didn't mind being put in some musical numbers because she liked my personality (who's ever said THAT before!) - anyway, when it's official, I'll make the official announcement.  In the meantime there are. LOT of line to memorize - just in case, of course!

It is the same here, however, we are still running the AC.  I would rather have open windows.

I will admit that the AC felt very good when we first returned from our walk.

I saw Ben-Hur with my parents.

The Charleton Heston version is one of my sister's favorite movies.

Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World was where my date took me the evening we graduated Jr. High.  We went with his best friend, also in our class.  I don't remember who he took.  First we had dinner at a nice restaurant.  He seemed like half my class was at the movie.

I love that movie!  It's just so much fun!

Stopped to see the MIL this afternoon. She seems to be settling in well, and her apartment is really shaping up with all the art up on the walls.

The movie DR elmore3003 referred to, Trick (1999), does not seem to be available to purchase or to stream any longer. I know I owned a copy at one time.

It's due for a blu-ray release. I want!

I think I bought the DVD, but if I did, it's somewhere in a box in my storage unit. :-\

I got a cheap kit on Amazon to test for my blood type. I used to know it, but have forgotten. Then I'll fill out a "File of Life" template to hang on the icebox.

Icebox. That's what they're still calling it, right? I avoid the "R" word because I can never remember the right way to spell it. D? No D?
