Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a surprise run-through, and now it is time for you to post until the run-through cows come home.

Topic of the Day:  I rarely remember any dreams. :-\ So, I only know that ALL of my dreams (that I even remember) have been weird.

And about POOCHIE PANTS:  in the lyrics for "Somebody" from Schmidt and Jones' Celebration, the song refers to them, but uses what I assume is the Italian spelling:

...And so, before these golden days
These Lolita days are through
I'm gonna get myself some Pucci pants
And here's what I'm gonna do:
I gonna be somebody
Before they lay me in my grave
I gonna be somebody
So everyone'll be my slave!....

If someone is killed unexpectedly by a sword, is that a surprise run-through?

TOD
In this dream, I became aware that my brother - good ol' Macbeth - had serious issues when the moon was full. I expressed this concern to my friends, my teachers, and my friends, who all brushed off my concerns. Then, one night, my brother morphed into a wolf who attacked me. I escaped, and once again, I was the boy crying wolf. By the end of the dream, I was in the attic of the house where I grew up, as my brother, mother, and father - all werewolves - were attacking me.

I had this dream when I was in grade school, maybe 5th or sixth grad, so that would be 1956 or 57. At the time, I thought it was a nightmare but as I grew older, I thought it was funny. Looking back from a perspective of 60 years, I see it was not just about my fears of being the outsider in my family but my fears, that came back in a burst og paranoia in the mid-1970s, that my family wanted me dead.

I have a few things to take care of today: Access-a-Ride for tomorrow's appointment, try out the new pens I purchased since my favorite writing instrument is no longer being made by Paper Mate, and some preliminary work on a book I think a dear friend and I are going to attempt. This should prove interesting if nothing else.

Got a big day ahead of me. I must finish preparing for a rehearsal this evening, and then load my gear into the car. This is for a choral concert in which I only play synth (harp, celesta, marimba, chimes) in four numbers (in a ten-piece orchestra), so not a huge burden except for the logistics. Fortunately it’s in a local church, so no “commute”.

No.  It's felony murder.

I am reminded of a line in "Funny Face", the movie.  While Fred Astaire is photographing a model, he askes her to look at some sculpture and pronounce what it was.

She, in her uneducated accent, said "It's a Pucci" (or something like that).  She may have said a word that started with a B, but it's a name with which I am unfamiliar.

This week has ominous overtones.

Thursday morning, I must have an MRI done.  This is the scan the doctor told me he wants to rule out a brain tumor as the cause of my hearing loss in my left ear.

The test will just about be over by this time Thursday morning, but it doesn't mean I won't contemplate it quite a bit over the next few days.

A week from today, I am supposed to go with my cousin Debra to Litchfield Beach on the South Carolina coast to spend a few days with my cousins Rick and Susan.

I am, honestly, not looking forward to it.  However, I have promised twice that I will go, so there it is.  Can't break a double promise.
