Back home and totally stuffed! I never eat that much!

We went to El Torito, the Mexican chain, because it was one of the few restaurants open nearby and they serve all afternoon and into the evening. It was a buffet with turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, plus enchiladas, rice, and other things. Lots to choose from.

Back from a lovely Thanksgiving dinner at El Torito (The Torito). For starters, I had a little salad, one slice of turkey, one slice of ham, mashed potatoes and yams. And yes, for reasons I don't understand, I was and am ready to explode.

I suppose the second plate of a small enchilada and some stuffing didn't help the cause. No room for dessert.

My sister and her daughter are vegetarian, so she (my sister) is preparing "field roast" for them...and anyone else who even just wants to try it.

Is that a fake turkey?

Not specifically.  I should've typed that as Field Roast because it's a brand of plant-based foodstuffs:

https://fieldroast.com/

When I quickly looked it up it looked like it might be like fake turkey which I think is horrible.  I think I have had this and it wasn't bad.

Thanksgiving afternoon greetings!  We had 2 Spectrum guys here this morning getting our TV and wi-fi set up.  They were finished in time for us to see the Macy’s parade.

Wow, that was nice of them to work today.

It was their idea and we’re very grateful.

I'm sure you were, and I bet they were glad you were also ok with them working early.

That sounds good.  Did they have their sweet corn cakes, or whatever they are called?

No enchiladas?

OK, I wondered how you could have passed up an enchilada.

I don't normally eat desserts at Mexican restaurants.  Did they have anything tempting?

The Heath English Toffee Bits went very well with the pumpkin roll.  Maybe next year I will sprinkle some on top of the cream cheese filling before I roll up the cake.

An American flag was on the house across the street, looking very pretty flying in the wind.

I have never seen a flag like this before.  The women living there were in the military.

It looked much prettier with the wind blowing the rainbow around.

Watched a creepy little movie called The Lesson with a great performance from Richard E. Grant as a novelist jealous of other people’s talent. The script sort of petered out, but it’s worth a look.
