The Heath English Toffee Bits went very well with the pumpkin roll.  Maybe next year I will sprinkle some on top of the cream cheese filling before I roll up the cake.

That sounds good.

Dinner at my sister's was quite the do.  Everything tasted good, but she accidentally forgot to set a timer, so the stuffing and her corn pudding were cooked longer than expected.

I thought that the corn pudding was cooked perfectly, but my sister thought that the stuffing (it was in a separate casserole dish) was a little overdone...but no one complained.  And she totally forgot to put out the cranberry sauce, but no one asked for it, so that was okay, too.

An American flag was on the house across the street, looking very pretty flying in the wind.

Very nice!

Starting to get a few Christmas decorations up.

Since Thanksgiving Day is pretty much over, it's now officially Christmas season!

I hear you there.  I'm sitting at the computer making up things to do so I won't sit in front of the TV where I'm sure I'll fall asleep.

Thanksgiving Epilogue:  All in all, everything was great.  The turkey was fantastic, and according to my 5 year old nephew, I won the contest.  LOL.   The pie was delicious and the stuffing is really a work in progress.  We had three turkeys (!) so there were a lot of leftovers.  I brought mine home.  I think I'll make a turkey, almond and grape salad for our WC Tech Pot Luck on Sunday.

Hope everyone had a great day.

That's great, Matthew.

Had Thai lunch from a food truck in Vancouver, BC. Then the Mrs surprised me with a mini turkey meal at dinner time with the kids. So we had a wee American Thanksgiving after all.

Congrats, Rodzinski!

Pumpkin pie, I think.
Nothing exciting then ;)

I find pumpkin pie VERY exciting

I used to have a recipe for a no-bake layered pumpkin pie.  You cooked it on the stove and layered it with whipped cream (not Cool-Whip). ;)

I probably made it for the first time when I was in college but still living at home, and it was the first time my mom ever said that she liked pumpkin pie.

I don't remember what happened to that recipe.  I've looked online a few times over the years, but I never saw anything that seemed like it was even remotely close to what that I had made. :-\
