Well, you've read the notes, the notes were dubbed into English, and now it is time for you to post until the dubbed cows come home.

Another completely rotten night of sleep. The cats were great, the room temperature was nice, and I decided to try a different pillow for my legs. It was a stupid mistake, and I am returning to the old pillow.

Author Caleb Carr has died. I read The Alienist when it was first published and loved it, but I never had any urge to read its sequel. I do want to read his latest book, which is selling well.

My weekend will be mostly consumed by the Irish Medley. My goal is to finish it Monday, so If Joshie has anything else for me to write, I can accomplish that by the end of the week. The Gala is a week from Monday.

Author Sebastian Junger, author of The Perfect Storm, has written about his near-death situation in 2020 and how a visit from his dead father changed his attitude about an afterlife.

Favorite vacation had to be my safari in Botswana. I got to see the most amazing wildlife in their native habitat. Lions mating, zebras turning their backsides to us, lilac breasted plovers flying above us, cheetahs laughing, monkeys making mischief. Elephants, giraffes, ibexes, antelopes, wild dogs, rhinos, so much more.

TOD:  Other than Disney World vacations taken with Skip, a couple of trips seeing HHW people were real favorites.

The time when I went to "The Last Starfighter" at Second Story Repertory in Redmond, WA (Seattle area) and we had a Pacific NW HHW gathering with George, TCB, and  Jane and Keith was one of my all-time favorite trips.

Likewise meeting up with BK and several others in L.A. (when BK and I saw "Los Otros" at the Mark Taper Forum) was a real favorite.

Las Vegas vacations were mixed in that the place is so exciting at night, but somewhat ordinary during the days.

It's a Saturday morning of a three-day holiday weekend, and I must do a little bit of shopping.

Not much, though. Just a few things I need for the next couple of days, and a couple of things to take to my friend's annual holiday gathering tomorrow morning. (He always holds that on Sunday, the ideal day to do that kind of thing in a three-day weekend.)
