We watched the Huston Moby Dick a few months ago and it was most enjoyable. I had meant to look up the composer, and didn't. BK has now kindly done some of my work for me.

I had my "wellness" exam yesterday. Nothing much to report. Which is of course usually better than if there IS something to report. I've got bloodwork to get done next week.

I'm still in this strong allergy spell which had the doc unconcerned. He said many are dealing with it, and I might even have had a small virus that left me with a lot of post-nasal drip. It does feel like that.

I reckon that by now, DR Ron Pulliam is en route to his cataract surgery. Looking forward to hearing it all went swimmingly.

I dozed off and on the rest of the day after mine -- partly from the drugs, but also because I didn't see well enough until that evening or the next morning, because your eye is super-dilated and it takes that long for it to settle down and let you focus. And you're initially wearing an eye shield for a while.

Access-a-Ride and I both screwed up this morning. My ride was scheduled for 8:45a.m.  Around 6:00 I got an AAR text saying my ride wold arrive in fifteen minutes. WTH?

Then, at 8:15 I called AAR since I had no idea where things stood. I was told the car would be there at 8:45. Then I got an AAR text at 8:30: your car has arrived; the driver's name is Vassily. Usually the texts include a phone number; there wasn't one. So, I grabbed the walker and headed for the lobby. I figured I would call AAR from the lobby and ask them to have the driver call me so I copuld find the damned car.

As I opened the door to leave, my stomach did several somersaults, and I spent several long minutes in the bathroom being sick. While I was there, I called AAR to cancel my two trips and then called my HMO to reschedule today's appointment. WTF!

While Mrs R’s away (and sometimes when she’s here) my kids sleep in our bed. They sound like your cats. They take up all the space. My daughter isn’t able to sleep unless she’s paralyzing my arm. Etc. But it’s cozy.

DR RODZINSKI The Brothers Four have always been a great favorite of mine....I have most of their LPs, I would guess, and a couple of CDs.

Always a great listen.

I always like to listen to a quartet as opposed to a Trio....except of course The Chad Mitchell Trio.

Did I ever send you the recently discovered Chad Mitchell Trio recording of "The Ballad of Murder Incorporated"?

John, I think we began watching the Moonflower Murders and then turned it off after Keith realized he hadn't liked Magpie Murders.  I didn't really care.

I made it though 1.5 episodes this morning. It's okay, nothing more.

I had to sign up for Medicare a couple of years ago but since Vixdad and I are still working and we're covered under his insurance I  haven't had to use it. But I guess I had better start researching since he's talking about retiring .
