Thanksgiving #1 consisted of a green salad, light and dark turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes, gravy, asparagus, cranberry sauce, and apple pie.

To quote Hugh Martin, congratulations on all your abnegations!

Thanksgiving #2 was untraditional but still delicious. Braised chicken thighs with squash on a bed of cooked onions, onion tart, crusty baguette with butter, green salad with root vegetables, and pumpkin pie and ice cream.

It looked pretty with powdered sugar and Heath Bar pieces sprinkled on top and around the plate.

As I ate only bites of all of that, I managed not to feel like I was about to explode.

Happy Thanksgiving, friends! Regular school day in Canada for my kidlets.

Do you now celebrate Canada's Thanksgiving as well as our's?

Back in October we did.

Fun :)

After school we’ll go to Vancouver for a nice meal and stay at a hotel.

I like your celebration.  Will you be keeping them out of school or is it closed tomorrow?

Out of school.

Enjoy these days while they are young enough to keep them out of school.
