TOD: I expect the first ice cream bar was Good Humor, but I have no memory as to what. Like many here I was more of an ice cream sandwich fan.

I remember the thrill of Baskin-Robbins opening near us and having so many flavor choices. My all-time favorite from there was 32nd Flavor, a toffee-like flavor if I remember correctly.

Jrand, we used to drive past that cemetery whenever we'd go visit my grandparents - you know, the what is it fish people. I can remember that we kids were told if we held our breaths from the start of it until we were past it, we'd have good luck. I have never ever since then driven by there without holding my breath. And that's hundreds upon hundreds upon hundreds of times - and continues to this day.

I remember holding my breath passing cemeteries.

The first ice cream bars I remember eating were Fudgesicles. I purchased them in elementary school with the nickle I took to school to buy a little carton of milk.

Eventually the school figured out kids were using their milk money for Fudgesicles and raised the cost by a penny or two.  I had to work to find the extra money to buy my treats

These days, if I have an ice cream bar it is this one.

Stopped at Trader Joe's and picked up:

their tarragon/chicken wrap for a late lunch,
the frozen carne asada burritos for tomorrow,
their private label bag of the (Kettle) salt & pepper chips which are fabulous, and
two (2) bananas.
