The usual smoothing stuff, I moved a few paragraphs around so they made more sense, that kind of thing.

Sounds like really good progress!

Amazon just delivered Herod the Great, the latest book from Zora Neale Hurston. She’s been dead for more than 60 years, but she’s had four new books in the last seven or eight years.

And these have never been published before?  That's pretty cool.

All new.

Back to Marriage Story. Watching it in segments makes it seem more like Scenes from a Marriage, American style. It also makes the pain a little easier to bear.

Well, this is cool...someone just posted a complete audio of the original production of The Sound of Music on YouTube!

The Sound of Music (October 8 1961) Full Show: Mary Martin, Theodore Bikel & Original Broadway Cast

Here's the first paragraph in the description:

Vincent J. Donehue was the director for the original 1959 Broadway production of Sound of Music. The show was the final Broadway collaboration between Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, and starred Mary Martin, Theodore Bikel, Patricia Neway, Marion Marlowe, Lauri Peters, Brian Davies, and many others. Joe Layton did the dances.

And it sounds amazing! :)

Enjoying this.
Thank you, George!

You're welcome, Iris!  I'm glad I just randomly came across it!

A friend of mine, (and Rodzinski’s), is directing a community theater production of The Sound Of Music.

48 people showed up for the first audition.

Only 3 men, and all 3 wanted the role of Max.

Oh, my goodness!  No one wanted to be Georg von Trapp?

Step 1: Have auditions and cast your female roles.
Step 2: Hit everyone you know up to see if they know any guys who want to be in a show.

Come out here where in my experience the male auditions are very competitive, if not quite as competitive as female auditions.

I'm afraid all that terrible food yesterday, one thing after another, really gave me severe nausea - no throwing up but just yucky.

I hope you are feeling better.
