Waiting for Mr. Rushdie. Security is mixed. We ushers were not screened. The guests will be. Tickets were apparently from $10,000 to $25,000 a table.

Wow!  I've never volunteered for a gig that was that expensive to attend! :o Hope everyone enjoys the event!

Very surprised that the ushers were not screened.

He has every reason to be extremely paranoid.

I'm surprised, too.  When I volunteered for the (now former) governor's ball, we had to go through a police background check.

But in the New York City of 2025, there's a whole mess of people who are willing to pay $1,000 and up per theater ticket, when the demand for the show is high - and that's even without food.  I guess big-name concerts are getting those prices, too.

DR George I hope you get the help you need for the Projected expenses and income section.

Thanks, Jane.  I did.  I filled out what I could, then uploaded it to Google Sheets and sent that to everyone else on the board who all started working on it...and got me off the hook for the rest of it.  It really did need to be a group effort. :)
