My goodness. DR Joy goes from color to black and white, and now DR Michael Shayne goes from black and white to color.

It's all SO confusing!!

DR Lulu,

Thanks.  Love your picture, too.  In return, here's a photo that my DR spouse took of me last week.  As you can see, I'm trim and fit which is why I'm so concerned about BK - riotous eating and winebibbing takes a toll!

Sincerely yours,
Dear Reader Jane's spouse

Hey everyone!

I'm writing this in the school cyber cafe.  The play's AD has decided that having the computer on backstage is a BAD idea, and so I'm going to be very bored waiting to go on.

I won't be on later either because....tonight we are leaving for Harrisonberg, VA to get to a hotel.  My JMU audition is tomorrow morning, so if anyone is up early enough, good vibes would be very welcome at 10 AM!

Emily--I agree with everyone else.  Is there anyway to refuse to pay the unsolicited bill diplomatically?

Gotta run....I'm not even in make-up yet!  Later!

I most certainly am not a winebibber, I am a Diet Cokebibber.  I am a whipped cream eater yes, yes, I admit it, but it will not send me to rack and to ruin.

Gee it seems like it is impossible to please everyone here. Some want less posts, some want more. Some like competitions, some don't. :)

DR Emily: I have been reading all the posts about your predicament. I agree that it was very inconsiderate of your co-worker to expect you to pay without consulting you.  This is sort of an extension of yesterday's "how do you deal with bad behavior" topic.

I think it would be weird if you didn't pay, even though you were not consulted. But I think it is important that no matter what you do, that you at least explain to this woman that what she did was wrong. If you don't, she will continue to do it.  Plus I think you should also tell her that you are a student, and you don't have much money. And that by her doing this, she is causing you a hardship.  I'll bet she has no idea that what she did was not nice.

It's not for me, a simple DR spouse, to prosecute the case against you.  However, I do remember you eating several MANLY portions of food at El Cholo's Mexican restaurant with my DR spouse and Susan Gordan in attendance.  Not accusing, mind you, but allow me to quote from Proverbs 23:19-21:

"Hear thou, my son, and be wise.  Be not among winebibbers; among riotous eaters of whipped cream. For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags."

Are you a riotous eater of whipped cream? Are you a winebibber?

Sincerely yours,
Dear Reader Jane's Spouse

DR Emily,

My opinion regarding your situation at work is reflected in DR God Ron Dude's post about same matter!

If she does it AGAIN then it'll be easier for you NOT to pay then!

Sgt. Friday wants the facts about the alleged whipped cream force feeding.

And are you sure it was whipped cream and not beaten cream?  Because we are dealing with the difference between and misdemeanor and a felony here.

Or you can send it to him electronically...either way, just the fax, Ma'am.

My gosh, those desserts do look good. One of the great things about being on my upstairs computer is that the kitchen with all its goodies is downstairs and far  removed from me as I look at all this delectable stuff.

Very tempting, though....

my kitchen is upstairs away from the computer. . .thank goodness! it was baking day here today, and while I was at work, dozens of lady locks and apple and cherry breakfast rolls were made. . . .

Has anyone misunderstood the nature of soup lately?  I sometimes misunderstand the nature of people - for example, this morning I found out a little something that baffled me but good.  Perhaps I'll share it with you later, for I must ready myself for the work environment.

I've been wondering about this most of the day, BK!

What did you find out that baffled you?  Was it something to do with tiramisu?  That tiramisu might have been invented as a soup of some kind?

I look at the word and see "tira", and I it reminds me of "tier" (aka Layer), and I see "misu" and it reminds me of soup...and so I come up with "soupy layer."

But no tiramisu I've ever had actually had a soupiness...it was more like a banana pudding without bananas...and with chocolate.

So...please alleviate our anxiety and share this baffling thing you discovered this morning!

I've got the makings for a devil's food cake downstairs and have been procrastinating all day because I know I will eat the vast majority of it if I bake it. Decisions....decisions.......

Tom from OZ that is a terrific album.

I hate to think that that beautiful red fringed dress hung in wardrobe at Warner Bros until it turned into tatters and threads!

I love the second medley on side one:  Doin' the Sigma Chi/Bashful Baby/Freddy the Freshman and a tune in the next medley I hadn't heard before titled If you Want the Rainbow.
