Well, you've read the notes, the notes went on and on and on, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're still talking about Hugh O'Brian.

The show last night sounded wonderful... even with the "glitches:  I'm sure they just added to the charm of it all!
I wish I could have been there!

Good morning, all!  It was so quiet this morning that I knew there had been snow, and the view of Holy Trinity across the street, with its steps and all the trees around it covered in snow, is quite beautiful in this gray morning light.

This morning is Chorus holiday concert work.  Around noon, I shall take myself down to therecording office before I meet my friend Matthew at the IFC Theatre on Sixth Avenue (formerly Frank Mills' Waverly) to see TRANSAMERICA.

I have a TOD question:  what's everyone reading these days?  I'm working through THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO again, Martin Moran's THE TRICKY PART, and the Oxford University Press orchestra score of RUDDIGORE.

Just caught up with yesterdays notes... I'm so sorry to hear about your health issues Danise... you are a lovely woman and one I ma proud to call a friend. The day we spent together in New York I count as one of the highlights of my year.  YOu have my love, my prayes and obviously ~~~~VIBES~~~

Rodzinski, I concurr with MBarmum... you are too young to have health issues so I command you to immediatly get better!   If that didn't work then I send my love, my prayers and of course ~~~VIBES~~~~

Continued ~~~Feel Better VIBES~~~

Now there's an idea for an ad hoc topic of the day - what do you say when you want to curse but can't due to the circumstances (in an office or there are kids around), or just want to say something nasty or inappropriate but can't for decorum purposes.

I at times find myself saying something like "sheece" (instead of the impolite word for excrement), which I've deluded myself into believing that people think I'm just saying "Jeez."  :)

Howdy, Fred!  I think the keyword is "busier" and I'd really like a quiet day with little to do.  What are you doing today?

Very strong good health vibes to Danise and to Rodzinski.

I actually have to do some praying today due to a family matter, and if it's OK with you guys, I'll add a Refuah Shlemah (complete health) prayer for both of you.

I'm supposed to see THIRD, the Wendy Wasserstein play at Lincoln Center, today, but I woke up with weird feelings about getting to Lincoln Center and seeing it that I can't quite put into words.

Sunday morning greetings!  It's very gray here today and sort of icy.  I'm going to my mom's to make buckeyes to be sold at a charity event Tuesday evening.

DR elmore - I just got my library's copy of the Gower Champion bio and hope to have a chance to start it soon.  Also, my book group is reading Wicked for January, in anticipation of seeing the musical when it plays Cincinnati in March.  I will miss the Jan. discussion, because we meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month.  That's the 19th,  the Thursday of the week DH Richard and I will be  in NYC.

My question for today - does anybody think, or have any scoop, on whether or not Dirty Rotten Scoundrels will be re-recorded with Jonathan Pryce, like they did with Brooke Shields for Wonderful Town?

bk - "on and on and on" or not, I still would have loved to have seen last night's show.  I got goose bumps reading about the opening number.

Skip came back in from playing with the dogs and says it's a little treacherous out there with the snow/ice.

Good morning!

When I was getting ready and out on my usual Sunday morning stops at the ATM and grocery store, it was cold and overcast. It had rained prior to my getting up.

Now the skies are cleaning and the sun is out, it's warmed to the mid 50s, and it looks like it's going to be a beautiful day. But that might be the last for awhile. The five day forecast says temps not getting out of 40s starting tomorrow with lots of clouds, rain, and other possible precipitation.

Yes, I have the Gower Champion biography ready to go here, too, and that will be my next book. I'm trying to get through a stack of VARIETYs to clear off a partg of the kitchen counter.

My euphamism for a profane word is "frap," which combines the F-word with "crap."

I usually just say Good Heavens!  Just like Phyllis Coates in SUPERMAN.

LOL DR JANE - I meant Audrey as in AUDREY HEPBURN not AUDREY II.  LOL

I hope Mr BK and Guy Haines have a great trip north to San Francisco!  Remember to make all kinds of celebrity demands and say at least once: "Don't you know who I am?"

I'm thinking today I may give thw afternoon over to HALF A SIXPENSE. The DVD has been sitting on my to-watch shelf for months. It's a long movie and this might be the best chance it gets to be watched.

Topic for the day:

Have you ever had a Tarot reading or other prognostic service?  How did you like it?  Was your practitioner accurate?

And there are a surprising number of shows with fresh episodes tonight including DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, L&O:CI, and CROSSING JORDAN. (And GRAY'S ANATOMY for you fans of it out there.)

I think I may watch WHERE EAGLES DARE.  I like the setting and all the noise and adventure.  Clint and Richard are a lot of fun to watch together, too.
