The walking on water part is so very appropriate for this time of year, don't you think?   ;D

Hey this IS New York... you just walk on the bodies the Mob threw in... ;D

I like Old Spice... is that becasue I'm a lesbian?

It must be because I don't like it and I'm NOT a lesbian.

I have not completed getting my Christmas cards and things in the mail.

I think I shall send New Year cards instead!

I shall send New Years cards, New Years gifts etc. I just totally lost track of getting ready for Christmas, so promised surprises shall not appear until after Christmas.  I still have shopping to do....oh man!!!!!

DR Vixmom: Thank you!!

Thanks to everyone for their good travel vibes. I might need them with all this strike nonsense mucking up the train schedules.

And now I'm off to bed...

Good Evening!  Good Morning!

...Sometime there's just not enough hours in the day...  But it was a good day.

Two shows today - Noon (otherwise known as the "Buttcrack of Dawn Show" ;)), and 7:30.  I had planned to get up earlier today, and get my workout in before the matinee, but that was not to be.  -I've really turned into an eight-hours-a-night sleeper - used to get by on five or six.  In any case, I headed back home between shows to get my workout in, and I also took care of a few errands.

And once I got back from the evening show, I checked some things out online, and...

After checking the performance schedule for Damn Yankees in January, I realized that there is one Thursday when we don't have a show.  -Awake and Sing is opening that night in the other theatre, so Arena give the other show the night off.  And I then remembered that I had enough frequent flyer miles on United for a round-trip ticket.  Well...

I'll be leaving for San Francisco early on January 26, and flying back early the next morning.  Yes, a very quick trip, but at least I'll be able to see Lestat, and get a few hours in The City By The Bay.

:)

*I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth to book a hotel for that night, or just head right back to the airport after the show, and wait there for a couple of hours.  -I'm flying back out at 6:05am.  -Gotta love those time zones!  ;)  Ah, well...

In any case... I'll be heading to SFO in January.

:)

As for the Topic of the Day...

The lamest presents I've gotten have usually come from my parents:  clothes.  Namely polo shirts (always blue), and socks.  My three brothers and I have gotten the same "bundle" for the past couple of years.  It's even gotten to the point to where my mother doesn't even bother wrapping them up anymore.  She simply takes a sheet of tissue paper, and rolls everything up in it.  And to make matters "worse", most of the time the price tags are still on them... AND one of us when my mom bought them... On Sale!

;)

*However, we did used to get AMAZING presents from our parents, so...  My brothers and I are cool with the socks and shirts - and the occasional sweater (in very unflattering colors).  It truly is the thought that counts now that we're all adults.

DR Jason - Congrats on your walk!  And six miles is really not that long a walk as long as you have comfortable shoes.  ;)

Safe travels to you tomorrow!

*And let's hope the transit strike is resolved when you get back to NYC.

And as for the transit strike...  A couple of the cast members of Damn Yankees are starting to wonder if it will be worth the trouble and frustration to head back to NYC for Christmas.  Yes, we do have a three day "weekend" coming up, so there's some wiggle room, but do you want to spend a good chunk of that "wiggle room" hailing a cab?

Well, I should have been in bed at least an hour ago...  I have to be out of here "early" tomorrow for the first understudy rehearsal, Noon-5:00.  -And I'm meeting my friend, Justin, for breakfast beforehand.  -And I want to get my workout in before that, so...  -I sense a snooze button in my future.  ;)

In any case...

Goodnight.

Back from rehearsal and am eating buttered popcorn whilst I type.  Eleven o'clock and no one in the jernt but me.  And another slow news day here at haineshisway.com.

Glad to see Michael Shayne get off his butt cheeks and post.  If one is sad, haineshisway.com and its fabulously fabulous denizens is the perfect antidote.
