I AM ROYALLY P*SS#D OFF!!!!!

For dinner, I thawed a couple of chicken breasts, then poached them in some water (out of broth).  I covered them in a bowl with some foil, to keep them warm, and used the poaching liquid to cook some rice, heavily greened with parsley.  Pot two, some carrots glazing away in some wine and chives.  Pot three, a pint of blackberries we've had on sale, with some salt and sugar and liquid, reduced down to a syrup and then mashing the berries into a rough puree, to be served with the breasts.

I leave the kitchen.

I return to the kitchen.

Fletcher, the only dog large enough to raid the kitchen table, has pulled down the bowl with the chicken breasts and devoured them.

Fletcher is now in his cage, and complaining about how he's being treated.  I don't care.  That was our last pair of breasts in the freezer, and I now have to quick-thaw and substitute a couple of pork loin chops.

AAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!

This cook is not a happy camper tonight.

We love you Fletcher! You know good food!
You may be deaf but your snoot works wonders!
Good dog! :D ;D ;D

Sorry Woody, I couldn't resist.  When I was growing up, more than once our dog took the main meat course off the table while we were distracted and away from the table.  I feel your pain, but laugh because I know it so well

I feel so fortunate that I've never had problems with a contract and I've never had my breasts in a freezer ;) or a dog that pulled food off of a counter or table.

Finished watching my Bollywood Aladdin movie...boy was that fun...winged vampires...giant genies...and a woman in a giant spider web!

And I have said it before, and will say it once again...that Meena Kumari was one hot chick! Seriously, whenever I see her on screen in a movie I am so astounded by her beauty...the Ava Gardner of India!

When I worked a Bi-Mart I worked with a gal named Mary...but we all called her Mare...as when we would leave work in the evenings we would all say to her "Night Mare!"

I just watched the Bewitched movie with Nicole Kidman.

I think this movie did not get good reviews.  It's a shame that they couldn't make a really good movie. I mean they had Nicole Kidman who IMO makes a really good Samantha.

Bewitched was one of my fav shows growing up. And it could have made a great a movie.  I was willing to give the idea a chance (of them doing a remake of the tv show).  But I just ended up thinking this was not a good idea.

There were some cute moments.  But I would not have cast Samantha as an air-head.  And I would not have made Darrin full of himself.  I wish they had just made a movie that reminded me more of the great show I used to watch.

Up next is The Longest Yard with Adam Sandler and Chris Rock.

Well....anyway....as I wrote, I was attending a party tonight at the World of Wisdom....a send off for the soon-to-be ex owner.

My sister Molly and my nephew CJ were riding with me.  It was raining and we walked into chaos at WOW at about 6:50.  Preparations were in high dudgeon....  And who should walk up to me - looking very familiar - but a tall dark haired man in a fashionable top coat and a petite vivacious young redhead with a jaunty scarf around her neck.  Yes it was RODZINSKI and TPUNK.  With them was their friend Matthew, new father of Eleanor (who did not attend, being home with her mother).

I was presented the chocolates and we talked and laughed and talked some more.  Introductions were made all around.  DR RODZINSKI forgot his camera, and I did not realize such a momentous happening was in the works, so my camera was at home.  My sister Myrna had her new camera in the box, and we examined it from many angles, but could not figure out how to make it work.

So there are NO pictures.

Reputations were ravaged and laughter reigned for nearly thirty minutes.  Tom and Antonia each purchased a book.  And friend Matthew also purchased a book and a RARE volcanic quartz GREEN crystal globe.  And since Antonia was a Capricorn everyone got 10 percent off!!

Yes it was wonderful to meet them in person, and Dear Friend MATTHEW - who also reads tarot and does scrying - plans to stop in soon for a reading.

What a lovely and wonderful New Year's Eve Eve surprise.
