Richard Deacon was, of course, Fred Rutherford on LEAVE IT TO BEAVER, father of Clarence aka Lumpy.

BUT - what was his wife's name?

Rodzinski, you know I haven't tried to pick up WMKV via the airwaves on any of my radios here yet.  I know in rental cars I've had when visiting here the station seemed to die out about 35-40 miles down the road from Cincy.  We're about 70 miles from Cincy.  But I should try.  Coming into town the car radio on my Caravan was picking up Chicago, St. Louis, Philadelphia, so who knows.

Of course, I just usually click it on the computer first thing in the morning and it's on most of the day...unless I'm listening to the BBC.  What I do miss is that the best continuous music on the station seemed to come on around eleven/twelve at night until early in the morning.  That was great back in LA because I got terrific music with almost no breaks throughout the earlier evening hours until I went to bed.  Here I'm usually in bed by one or so...so I'm missing a lot of good stuff.

We're planning on doing a calendar.

Well... We'll at least be the photographers... Shots of New York City, the Bronx Zoo, etc... Stuff like that.

;D

Don't forget Splash.

Don't forget Splash.

After the debauchery I witnessed at Splash, I'll never forget it. It's like the Alamo.

Morris, an elderly  man, went to the doctor to get a physical. A few days later the doctor saw Morris walking down the street with a gorgeous young woman on his arm.

A couple of days later the doctor spoke to Morris and said, "You're really doing great, aren't you?"

Morris replied, "Just doing what you said, Doc: 'Get a hot mamma and be cheerful.'"

The doctor said, "I didn't say that. I said, 'You've got a heart murmur. Be careful.'"

A little old man shuffled slowly into an ice cream parlor and pulled himself slowly, painfully, up onto a stool. After catching his breath he ordered a banana split.

The waitress asked kindly, "Crushed nuts?"

"No," he replied, "arthritis".

Burt Mustin told a joke that made Johnny Carson laugh harder than I ever remember him laughing.

A guy was ice fishing and not catching anything.  He moved down beside a small boy who had a large basket of fish.  He asked the boy what his secret was....and the boy mumbled an answer.  The man asked again, and again the boy mumbled.  Finally the man said: "What is YOUR secret."

The boy spit out a mouthful of worms and said: "Keep your bait warm."

An older couple decide to go to the doctor for a checkup. The doctor tells them that they're physically okay, but they might want to start writing things down to help them remember. Later that night while watching TV, the old man gets up from his chair.
His wife asks, "Where are you going?"

"To the kitchen" he replies.

"Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?"

"Sure."

"Don't you think you should write it down so you can remember it?" she asks.

"No, I can remember it."

"Well, I'd like some strawberries on top, too. You'd better write it down because you know you'll forget it."

He says, "I can remember that. You want a bowl of ice cream with strawberries."

"I'd also like whipped cream. I'm certain you'll forget that, so you'd better write it down" she retorts.

Irritated, he says, "I don't need to write it down, I can remember it. Leave me alone. Ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream. I got it, for goodness sake."

Then he grumbles into the kitchen. After about 20 minutes the old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and eggs.

She stares at the plate for a moment and says -

"I knew you'd forget the toast!"

DR Laura: That's an excellent question!! I await a response with bated breath...

Since I refuse to consider myself a Euro-American, I hope it's not the humongous concern it appears to be here.  Perhaps they're just "Canadians" or, even better, "people."

DR Elmore: It's really of no concern to me. It's just one of those little trivia tidbits that is sometimes pondered. People is people. That's how I see it...I just found it to be an interesting question. Sorry if you were offended by my curiosity.
