Happy Birthday Pogue!!  Have a nice day!

Hmmm... Questions....

BK, What has been your most rewarding experience in your long list of accomplishments?

What has been your funniest experience?

For MattH.... Have you ever done Brigadoon?

I hear they are both hot dishes!  8)

DR DtM - thanks for my Date With an Angel....which also had Nancy Kulp and Richard Deacon AND as one of the shoppers, Miss Hazel Pierce who was Lucille Ball's stand in (and an extra) on many episodes of I LOVE LUCY and THE LUCY SHOW and HERE'S LUCY.

Yep, that show seemed to be jam-packed with fun folk.

I seem to be seeing Burt Mustin everytime I watch TV lately.  Over the weekend, I caught him in two ALL IN THE FAMILY episodes and on Sunday night, he was sitting in the background during CAT BALLOU.

CAT BALLOU is one of those movies I've never sat all the way through.  I just get bored with it half way through.  Lee Marvin is a hoot, but just not enough of one to keep me hooked.

...Woody, you've pretty much got the history and description of hot brown down.  Originated at the Brown Hotel.  Turkey, Ham, Bacon, and tomato open-faced on toast or bread, slathered in a cheese sauce (a white cheese sauce, if I remember correctly)....
That's what I was forgetting, the tomato!  And yes, it's a white cheese sauce, from what I've read.

Apparently Bobby Flay, of NYC restaurant and FoodTV fame, has a version at his newest store where he serves it on French toast.  This struck me as gilding the lily.

When I re-awoke (little Mikey insisting it was his turn to wash my face) I discovered that it's been raining here in RB.  The gullies caused by the rain coming off the roof of the house next door are getting deeper and wider.  And I thought the Grand Canyon was bothersome!   :P

DirectTV guy is here and almost done already.  HighDef is mere moments away.  ;)

I just myself watched Richard Deacon last night in a Leave it to Beaver episode.  He was playing a completely different character than the one he played in the pilot with the different Ward, Wally and Harry Shearer.  And Edgar Buchanan played a character named Capt. Jack, who owned an alligator farm (don't ask) in another episode.  Ah, it was a simpler, stranger time.  :)

My question is for our Canadian dear readers.

Q: What is the correct term in Canada for black people who live in Canada? African-Canadian?

Good Morning!  Good Afternoon! -Wherever you are!

I guess all the festivities on Monday in NYC and all the driving and show-stuff yesterday really tuckered me out.  I was in bed last night by 1:00am, and I didn't get out of bed until 12:30pm.  Whew!

However, like in DR MattH's environs, there's not a sign of rain and the sun is out.  Yes, it's on the "cool" side, but it looks nice.

*And I'm very tempted to bundle up and go for a run in a few.  **And after basically three days "off" from working out, I need to do something active today.

OH!

And before hitting the road back down to Fairfax yesterday, I bought some NY Lottery tickets... And it turns out I won $50 in the Numbers drawing.  It would have been $40, but since it's Bonus Week... Bonus, indeed!

:)

*Of course, I have a feeling that I'm still "behind" when it comes to my lottery "investments", but it's still nice to win from time to time.

DR RODZINSKI!  You will be pleased/horrified/intrigued to know that the USPS is bringing a package to you.

You are aware of ONE of the items, the other THREE are surprises!  Delights for the eyes and ears of you and DRTPUNK.

If the USPS is on the ball, they will be in your office Friday....if they are as they usually are....you will get them Monday.

I like him too!  *And that slight lisp - at least I think it's a lisp - is very endearing.

:D

And watching his latest show, "Good Deal" is really a good deal.  ;)

-And then there's his cookbook, "Young & Hungry"... Hmm... I think I saw a movie with that title... Oh... Nevermind...

;D

BK Question:
What is your favorite thing to do outside the home enviroment to relax?

If there is absolutely no traffic, I enjoy driving to relax.  I enjoy used nosing around used bookstores and used CD stores.  And I enjoy a nice walk if the weather's fine.

...And there are some restaurants in Richmond that make a pretty good Kentucky Hot Brown.

But I do remember having one when I was staying at the classic Galt House in Louisville.  That's some good artery-clogging eatin'!
