A slow news day at HHW?  Unseemly!  Well then, here's a little news for all y'all...

Looks as though all your wonderful vibes have done their thing!  I got a phone call this afternoon telling me that I'll be getting another phone call on Monday or Tuesday to officially offer me a job at Tacoma Public Library! :D  I'll actually get to enter that mystical world of insurance, paid vacation, and sick leave, not to mention a steady paycheck!

Thanks to one and all, and all and one, for your help via vibage!

Why is he wearing a shirt?  No wonder those housewives are so desperate.

Yes, Jrand55, those AIP films are so much fun! And this is the first time I have seen HOW TO MAKE A MONSTER with the color ending! That was cool! And Gary Clarke and Gary Conway are great!

How interesting it was to listen to the news tonight on television.  According to a recent poll, 86% of the population believe that there is a real threat of another major terrorist attack on this country.  Only 23% of that same populace have the slightest idea how to prepare for a possible attack and its aftermath.  What on earth does this say about our country?

I shall now be on my way to the theater.  Pray for Rosemary's Baby.  Have no idea what sort of house we have tonight but will, of course, have a full report for you upon my return.  Not even sure I'm going to watch the show tonight - we'll see how I feel.

Elmore I’m relieved, if it had to happen, the water overflow was contained to the bathroom.

Jose thank you.  It makes it easier having Craig so far away knowing he has a job which will hopefully be a good experience and look good on his resume.

MBarnum good money and heating vibes.

Ben I like the photo of you on climbing into the plane.  It looks like a new version of the “ladder” I exited off the Manx flight from the Isle of Man.

Bruce, congrats on the full house and great show.

DakotaCelt, we have been busy here, so busy I haven’t walked in two days (I almost always walk or hike).  I tried this morning, went out and spent the entire time discussing the repairs on our road (we had some flooding a couple of weeks ago).  I then introduced the road guy to our friend and, soon to be, neighbor.   He found her charming.  I told him he would like her.  Then she came back here to see our kitchen.

While not officially completed with the remodeling, we have been putting the kitchen and house back in order.  I’m lucky to be married to someone with such a flair for decorating.

I have dishes to wash-‘night

Is it still raining in Oregon, or did your streak end?

Our no-rain streak is still ongoing -- 105 or so days without rain.

Finished watching WAR OF THE  COLOSSAL BEAST, sequel to THE AMAZING COLOSSAL MAN starring Miss Sally Fraser who now, as Mrs. Sally Johnson, lives on a ranch in rural Idaho.

Fun movie. I remember the first time I saw this one...I was in the 2nd grade and was home sick. I was sitting at my little kiddie table in the family room eating a bowl of clam chowder. The white soup reminded me of the monsters bald head and made me nauseous. I can still remember that all these many years later! LOL!

I also noticed that the colossal man had worked out a bit between the first and last movie...and became about 10 years younger! LOL!

I will have to watch the other two movies on these AIP DVD sets...EARTH VS THE SPIDER and BLOOD OF DRACULA...which are two of my most favorite 1950s films!!

And I hope that they will soon be releasing more in this series!

Watched three episodes on the SUPERMAN - Season 2 DVD set. Unlike the first set in which I skipped some episodes, I will watch every one of these. This was my favorite season of the show - less violent than the first season but less silly than the later ones, and there are some good little mysteries.

The episodes looked fine apart from some minor speckling. Glad to have these sharp, clear copies of this classic series.
