And they say romance is dead...or is this cruising?   ;)
 Yep, definitely cruising.   ;D

LOL, If you saw the delivery men, you'd know why this is so funny. But at least so far they have been prompt and kept their promises

Good Afternoon!

...Or I could just stay here and finish putting away the stuff that needs to be put away, and start packing up the few things I need to bring back down to VA...

And that's what I've been doing so far this afternoon.

I see.... sorry. I meant Carmen... I did not notice I had misspelled it.

LOL... I have words for it that are not to put on the boards... They are not polite...

Sorry Dakota if my comment last night was unclear.  I knew that you meant CARMEN.  I guess what I didn't know was which melody was in the largo movement of CAMEN, or what the words could possibly have been.  When I appeared in CARMEN, I believe that I was the lard-o, so, I don't know nothing about no largo

Happy Hunting, DR Cillaliz!

*I have a strong suspicion I'm going to be doing some painting a month or two down the line.  -After all my stuff is moved in here, of course... However, I sense I'll be hunting for the right color(s) for a while.  Thankfully, it's a small room, so I may splurge on some designer line/color, but I've also been looking at the colors that Restoration Hardware carries.  We shall see...

Although, Egg Shell White would actually work very well in here.  But I do want to get away from the Condo Oatmeal/Beige that's in here currently.

I had a blast redoing the kitchen. It was an inexpensive change, but involved stripping all the wallpaper and painting it two tones of yelllow to make the counters look better, it was a lot of fun and I sort of caught the bug. I did find a rug I sort of forgot I had that works for now.

Well, I have 3 days in which I want to put things away and get a lot more settled than I am right now -so I probably should get busy

Or maybe something closer to "toast", light brown... Or even a green... Or...

I am not impressed with the off-white walls, counters, appliances, etc

Oh, I had something happen that totally lifted my mood.  I was at the market talking to a guy who is in the local production of CLOSER. Well, you have to picture it - it was 2 below zero, so I have many clothes on, the visable ones are blue jeans and a big sweatshirt and I have hat hair and no make up.....and...his girlfriend was acting all jealous while the two of us talked!!!  I loved it, she kept coming over and grabbing his hand or leaning against him and then she walked away and started motioning to him.  Wow, nothing like having a younger woman with a better body be jealous for a minute or two to really make my day

pick up a bunch of those paint samples you can get at a hardware store or decorating store and set them on the floor or next to whatever you want it to not clash with.

DR Jose-
Here's HGTV's articles  on colors. I'm sure you know this, but it sometimes helps to get ideas. They have a lot of rooms you can look at. I have a great color idea for my livingroom when I have time to paint again

Great Photos DR Laura!!!!

That link doesn't work very well, you may have to cut and paste, or just check out the HGTV site.

Those are cool pictures!  Very clear.

Right now, I'm at work and listening to the Prague cast recording of Les Misérables.  Man, do they have a lot of syllables...and very few vowels! ;) But I can "hear" their acting, mainly because I've had the original London cast recording since 1986 or so.  Pretty good.

Watched the Terry Jones featurette on the M. HULOT'S HOLIDAY DVD. If I closed my eyes, I thought it was Andrew Lloyd Webber talking!

In anticipation of the Fox musicals arriving on DVD next week, I took one of my personally made Fox DVD-Rs off the shelf, and it turned out to be DOWN ARGENTINE WAY. I'm hoping that the official Fox DVDs will be a lot more deeply saturated in color than the versions Fox is showing on their Movie Channel. It looks OK, but it isn't that deeply saturated Technicolor I remember, and the Nicholas Brothers number "Argentina" looks much better ( sharper, deeply rich color) on THAT'S DANCING! than it does on this DVD I burned off the FMC.

Glad things turned out all right for you, DR Ann. I, too, have had more than one hard drive give up the ghost on me and have lost lots of prized pictures and files, so I now never let pictures sit on my hard drive for more than a week or so before I burn them to a picture CD.

I've decided tonight I want to see 4:50 FROM PADDINGTON. I will take out an hour to see SUPERNATURAL at 9 since I didn't get a chance to see it on Tuesday, but otherwise, I'll be watching Miss Marple tonight.

Our temps really did drop during the day. It's below 40 now with a cold rain and a very gray day. Yuck!

Sounds like hot chocolate tonight for sure!
