Given today's birthday it is fitting that the connection should be Thomas. An August reference.

Don't forget to thank the author, should you ever run into him.

Yes...and ask him what he was thinking with some of those lines that give you trouble!

Does any one give any creedence to your fantasy DR Rodzinski?

What I'm wondering is who's gonna get the paddling honors...35 gentle pats...and one vigorous one to grow on??

You mean I get to paddle someone? Birthdays rule!

The only info Amazon.com gives on this one about the picture is that it's NTSC.

Is it widescreen anamorphic?

Yes, it is. As I said last night, the transfer looks nice but not super sharp. However, I'm not complaining. I'm just glad to have the movie on DVD at all. Never thought it'd be transferred over which is why I recorded it off the Fox Movie CHannel and burned my own DVD of it.

Yes, DRRODZINSKI, the sun enters Aries today and it is the start of a new astrological calendar.

You have good patterns in your health and employment houses and the only caveat right now is to be guarded against a tendancy to overspend.

Well, I was going to do some record shopping before I meet TPunk for dinner, but now...

I give up?  What does this mean?

After seeing the graphic of the painint "Pinky" (or is it "Pinkie"), I was reminded that I had seen and liked the painting when I was in LA many years ago.

Check Amazon.com....there's a "Best of..." album there that might have some of the songs you remember/miss.

Thanks for the info.  I'll check them out later. :)

Oh, dear, another theater company in town is now listing auditions for YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN. I've had my heart broken before auditioning for this show, and I'm wary of trying again. I've e-mailed the director (whom I've working with in THE SOUND OF MUSIC and SCROOGE) asking if she's thinking younger adults or older adults for the cast. I'm interested in Snoopy which should be OK at any age, but you never know what's in a director's head.

Guess I'll head downstairs now to start on the dining room cleaning. Then some reading and on to nighttime TV.

I like the Fraternity label....out of Ohio, I think.  Jack Larson recorded for them.

Obscure indeed DR Jack.
Neither Artist nor song charted nationally it seems.

My latest obscure, and recently purchased 45rpm disc was "Joey's Song" by Betty Martin (1959) on ABC - Paramount.  A Vocal version of the big hit for Haley's Comets.

Ah...this is not the commercial DVD then?  So...you don't know if the commerical one is W/S-anamorphic, do you?

DR George, I was thinking of you yesterday as I was listening to some music. I put on an LP by a vocal group called The Honeydreamers. Never heard of 'em except for this album. It's from 58 or 59. They sound a lot like the Transfer, only three guys, two gals. Great harmonies. Album's called "It's Dark on Observatory Hill"

Yeah, Cincinnati. I think Jimmy Dorsey's "Sophisticated Swing" came out on Fraternity.
