I never watched Days.  Alas, having to work really cuts into my daytime TV viewing.  LOL!

The only soap I get to see is OLTL because they play all of them on Sunday mornings on the soap net.  I only starting watching that because my Mom watches it during the week and I wanted to have something to talk with her about.

I like OLTL and I will only WATCH Classic days (pre-1992). I refuse to watch the present trash that they call days.

Soapnet is not available in ND.

Another good day at The Palace, and I did some more detail work on my part.  It's coming along.

*It also finally hit me today that I'm working on a new show.  And it's been a long time since I've worked on a new, from scratch project.  Things are still changing, in progress... And that includes my part.  Challenging and exciting at the same time.

DR JRand - Yes, I did see the current revival of Sweeney Todd - I ended up getting a house seat for the final preview.  WOW!

-And I just happened to pick up the OCR this past weekend at Border's.  I had a 30%-off Coupon from Border's new Frequent Buyers program, so... And since Border's regular price for the two-CD set was/is only $21.99...

Of course, it will probably be a couple of months before I actually listen to it.

Well, "American Idol" is about to start... And I'm still a little brain-tired from rehearsal and practicing... So, sounds like a good time to veg out in front of the TV...

DR Jose, I ment to ask you, is it harder to play on an "unknown" keyboard?  I'm sure that different keyboards have their own  "personality quirks" as it were.  Aren't you more comfortable with your own?

TOD

I remember Princess Diana getting married.  That was like a dream—being taken to the church by a horse drawn carriage.  A gown with a long train.  Sigh. It was the fairy tale come true.    But I will state for the record that I was VERY disapointed by her dress.  I think it looks just horrible.

The I remember being shocked by her death and all the drama surrounding that.

The Shuttle accidents.  I had to wait until I got home from work to see the footage of the first one.  The second one happened the day I had Road Runner installed.  It was the first thing that came on the net and I’ll never forget it.

I thought they were talking about the first accident and I couldn’t figure out why.

9-11

How could anyone watch those pictures and not be touched.  Like many, we (at where I work at now) thought the first plane was an accident.  When we found out about the 2nd and the other hijackings, we cried.

I was alive at the time when  President Kennedy, Bobby Kennedy and MLK were killed but I have no memory of any of them at the time they happened.

I do remember when Elvis passed.

Nixon didn’t mean anything to me.

Rehearsal with Matt was fun.  The first time through I sort of head-tripped myself and fumfered a bit several times, but basically got through it.  Second time was better, but still didn't get quite everything.  Third time through was word-perfect and I felt good about what Matt and I were doing.  We'll do the same tomorrow and Thursday (plus work on the set Thursday night), have a go-through during the day on Friday, and then it's all in the hands of fate.

I went over to Armani Wells and found a perfect dark brown Armani sportcoat for the play - cost: $185, a steal.  Then went to the Gap and got pants and a top and I now have my wardrobe.

You don't?  I thought you did or the weight would break the roof in.

Maybe if you had 3 or 4 feet of show at once (something I've never seen) you may want to shovel, but no, it melts and runs down into the gutters. The roof is very strong

Don't know the actor.  Just finished this week's Sopranos - very strange episode, and I'm beginning to think that have Mr. Soprano laid up is not such a good idea.

Some other moments, that I did see that have not yet been mentioned:

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech
Scott Hamilton's return to the ice after his cancer treatment
The Cincinnati Reds' World Series sweep at the end of their "wire to wire" season

Even more moving, for me, was Ekaterina Gordeeva’s return to the ice without her Sergei.  I cried as her friends escorted her out onto the ice and skated with her.  Later she skated solo for the first time.

DakotaCelt tell me more.

Jane, I went with one of the obscure names in the letter and oddly something that Ben said one day in a post about an area of NYC that had me thinking.....

I threw all logic out the window and threw a wider net on the age ranges....

I found two of the people and evidence of their existence in 1880. 1900, 1910, and 1920. I also discovered the Manhattan death index!!

I found one death and possibly two others... My problem is that I do not have a firm birthdate.....

I was doing the happy dance

Jason saw Sweeney, Jose saw Sweeney and I saw Sweeney and I bought the CD, not that the CD is related to their making back their investment but we all helped  ;)

I helped too, I saw the show twice. Well, once was comped.
