I'm glad you're happy with your scooter, TCB!
One of the two miracles is pending, which is why we need them excellent vibes and xylophones - won't happen until next week if it's going to happen, due to the holidays.
My neighbor across the street just came over with a pencil and paper and wanted to ask me a question. How do you cook a turkey?
You could provide the number of the Butterball hotline
Quote from: Laura on November 25, 2015, 07:13:57 PMI was quite confused, because I know he has a wife, whom I would have expected would cook the turkey. He said his wife had left several months ago. I guess I am not a nosy neighbor.Oh, my! Well, he could also look it up online. There are many reputable cooking websites available.

He was quite surprised to hear about the bag of giblets and the neck.
Well I didn't get to work today unti 8:15 am and I was out by 10 pm
I've been through 3.5 hours of hell. Reminder to self: never be on the streets looking for a cab in rush hour the night before Thanksgiving. Traffic is absolutely scarier than the film, and because of the traffic trying to get the hell out of Dodge at 4:309, a taxi ride to Charlotte's from the theatre usually costs with tip $7-8.00.the taxi ride cost me $22.00. Color me not amused.
He keeps trying to take away this holiday but for once was firm and insisted we would be closed
Quote from: Jeanne on November 25, 2015, 02:54:43 PMIs this scooter smaller? I'm having trouble visualizing it in a relatively small space. (I'm assuming that TCB's apartment isn't palatial, but I could be wrong.) The main difference is not the size of the scooter, but the fact that this new sccooter has thee wheels rather than four. That allows the scooter to turn on a dime. But, yes, it is a little smaller.

the service, which was atrocious. The kitchen screwed up several entrees and the server disappeared for 30-minute stretches.

I am always unsure what to do about the tip in these situations. It has to be pretty bad for me not to leave 20%, but sometimes I really do want to leave a clear message that the experience was not OK.On the other hand, kitchen screw-ups aren't always the server's fault.A dilemma.
I have managed to make it through 51 Thanksgivings without ever having to host it myself.
No, DR TCB - I am not cooking. We are going to the brother of my DH's house, about half an hour's drive. I believe we will be 19 for dinner.
My idea was to keep the one scooter in the apartment and the other one in the trunk of my car. But with the current Olympic-sized swimming pool in my trunk, neither one can go into the trunk
