I'm glad you're happy with your scooter, TCB!

Thanks, Kevin.

One of the two miracles is pending, which is why we need them excellent vibes and xylophones - won't happen until next week if it's going to happen, due to the holidays.

Miracle vibes for BK!

My neighbor across the street just came over with a pencil and paper and wanted to ask me a question. How do you cook a turkey?

Funny :)

I was quite confused, because I know he has a wife, whom I would have expected would cook the turkey.

He said his wife had left several months ago. I guess I am not a nosy neighbor.

Oh, my!  Well, he could also look it up online.  There are many reputable cooking websites available.

I thought of that until I realized why he asked in person.  I suspect the guy is learning how to cook.

He was quite surprised to hear about the bag of giblets and the neck.

Chuckling away here.

My brother learned how to cook a turkey after his divorce.  I don't think he can make anything else.

Maybe the wife took the computer.

I've been through 3.5 hours of hell.  Reminder to self: never be on the streets looking for a cab in rush hour the night before Thanksgiving.  Traffic is absolutely scarier than the film, and because of the traffic trying to get the hell out of Dodge at 4:309, a taxi ride to Charlotte's from the theatre usually costs with tip $7-8.00.

the taxi ride cost me $22.00.  Color me not amused.

That is horrible, Elmore.  But my Iceland taxi ride still wins.

Is this scooter smaller? I'm having trouble visualizing it in a relatively small space. (I'm assuming that TCB's apartment isn't palatial, but I could be wrong.)

The main difference is not the size of the scooter, but the fact that this new sccooter has thee wheels rather than four.  That allows the scooter to turn on a dime.  But, yes, it is a little smaller.

I can pictured how three wheel will work better inside, not sure about the stability if it outside.

I keep Benadryl spray in my nightstand for when I have an itchy patch at night.  I get them all over my skin.

the service, which was atrocious. The kitchen screwed up several entrees and the server disappeared for 30-minute stretches.

I am always unsure what to do about the tip in these situations. It has to be pretty bad for me not to leave 20%, but sometimes I really do want to leave a clear message that the experience was not OK.
On the other hand, kitchen screw-ups aren't always the server's fault.

A dilemma.

The three-wheeled scooters are the only kind I had ever ridden, until I bought the four-wheeled one.  I suppose there is some decrease in stability, but once you get used to it, you never think about it.

A dilemma.

The one time I went to New York in 1995, we were told to always tip the waitstaff because they were probably starving actors and needed all the tips they could get.  If we ever had bad service or food, we should tell the manager.

No, DR TCB - I am not cooking. We are going to the brother of my DH's house, about half an hour's drive. I believe we will be 19 for dinner.

I have managed to make it through 51 Thanksgivings without ever having to host it myself.

Maybe next Thanksgiving, we can have a nationwide HHW get together in your fair city, and finish off the day with a turkey dinner in your home.

I hope so, but not before the reading next Thursday.  I need every hour that I have left.

I considered backing out of T-Day at Sharry's, so I could work all day without interruption.  But I must go and meet my new nephew, Frasier.
