I could probably just keep going until I'm there, but I must write some notes, I suppose.

Another death. Phyllis George. I met her briefly a lifetime ago when she was first lady of Kentucky, married to Gov. John Y. Brown. She was having fun that day. It was the opening of the Armand Hammer exhibit at UK. She was running around and giggling with the university president’s wife. Hammer was there with his wife, and we got a private tour of the exhibit with them. George had a good art history background and was able to keep up her end of the conversation. The Hammers were the most unassuming billionaires you could ever want to meet.

So, why did you go to a Armand Hammer exhibit in England?

Tonight, I turned to the Hallmark Channel to watch MURDE SHE WROTE.  This was episode 7 from the first season.

It was filmed in Seattle.

That's pretty cool!  Was it actually set in Seattle?  Isn't she supposed to be in Maine?

In the opening scene under the credits, this obviously rich and obviously very drunk woman returns to her home while there is a robbery in progress.  The unknown robber comes up behind her, she turns around and smiles when she sees him, and he then strangles her to death with the pearls she is wearing.

The woman who was killed in the opening was played by an actress from Tacoma who was a big name at Tacoma Little Theatre back in the late 50’s and early 60’s.  She and I were also on the Board of Director’s together back in the mid-Seventies.
