Just got off a very short Bible study. The woman who sent out the study guide didn't realize she was sending out the answers with the questions, which sort of kept discussion to a minimum. Plus, we could have done two chapters instead of just one.

Funny about the answers.

Well damn it, I’m sorry I missed the GRAND HOTEL thing this evening. They streamed it, and it’s all gone.

Yes. All gone.

I’m a half hour into Follies. The buckets haven’t started just yet

Glad to see the Bolero d’Amour included, even if the dance itself was a tango. It is important.

I was talking to an actor who does a lot of theatre in Los Angeles.

He says that theatre is "dead" there for the rest of the year, if not longer.

We watched OPHELIA on cable this evening, which is a different take on HAMLET.

Interesting movie, though it was difficult to understand the dialogue at times.  Great scenery.

Back in 1960, when I was a freshman in the University of Washington Drama Dept, we did a one-hour adaptation of HAMLET for the university's educational television channel.

It was conceived and directed by the late Rod Whitaker, who among other things, wrote THE EIGER SANCTION (1975) with Clint Eastwood.  Marian Hailey (LOVERS & OTHER STRANGER, as well as HARVEY with Jimmy Stewart and Helen Hayes) played "Ophelia".

David Seidler, who won an Oscar for writing THE KING'S SPEECH, was "Claudius".

I was "Osric".

Several years ago, I tried to get a video of the production, but it no longer exists.   :(

BTW: Rod Whitaker wrote under the name of "Trevanian".

There are so many productions from San Jose I don't know what to watch next. I am listening to the beginning of their Little Night Music.

But it is bed time. And my three-day weekend comes to a close. Thank goodness there's another one next weekend.

We shall see what we shall see.  The stories change daily.  I think some smaller theaters may be back prior to next year and I refuse to buy into the endless doom and gloom bombardment.  It will be what it will be and everyone should really just stop with the predictions and projections because it serves no purpose whatsoever.

A mere eleven posts to a new thing.  Have finished another movie and have done a Gelson's run so that I can make food here for the next three days, which will be a good thing.

I totally agree.  I was just reporting what this Los Angeles actor told me.

It's been a hellish week and I am wiped out.

I concur with BK that it's a bad allergy season.

Hardly a week goes by that I don't receive a call cancelling another one of my medical appointments, some of which were reschedules of reschedules. Last week I received an email from one of the big mucky-mucks, saying that it's safe to return and Don't neglect your treatments. (Bolding his.) Neglect my treatments? I haven't been permitted any! I understand that Covid has disrupted everything, but I sadly suspect that the people at the top of this prestigious medical institution haven't a clue what's going on down on the ground.

I postponed my yearly appointment with my endrocinologist and will be seeing someone in Portland.   The new doctor got me an appointment for a DEXA.  Where I normally go they said it would take a month to get an appointment.
