We have been talking about going to Chicago in July.  My heart sinks every time I look at all the people out there packed together without masks on.

I simply do not understand not wearing a mask when around a lot of people. I don't wear mine when I'm in the car, but I'm by myself. I even wear it now when taking out the trash. I didn't used to, but a neighbor has a horrible cough and often doesn't wear his mask. I don't want what he has, even if it's not Covid.

I would wear one if I had a neighbor coughing like that.  He is very inconsiderate.  Neighbors here are pretty good about backing away though I have felt some got a bit too close.

A sweet lab went up to Keith this morning on our walk.  That is fine.  The dogs don't understand so we pet them.  Then the woman did a circle around Keith so the leash wouldn't get tangled.  She was just inches from him!  ::)

My birding buddy is still in the hospital. I have only had a couple of texts from her. She likes to be left alone when she's not feeling well.

We sent Bryan a package awhile ago.  The tracking number shows it has been sitting in the post office for days now.  Bryan said there hasn't been mail for about 5-6 days with the riots. He also also heard their post office was looted :(

Vibes Bryan is able to get his package from you.

Since we cancelled our July vacation I asked the boss if I could  save the week and take 2 weeks in January and he said yes!

That's great, Vixmom!

Well, vaccine-wise. Woefully behind on anything tech.

I just read some great news.  "Two Missouri hairstylists with coronavirus saw 140 clients in their salon, but no one got infected."

Both the hairstylists AND customers were wearing masks.

Keith has a hard time wearing a mask for any length of time.  Today, since everyone at Costco is required to wear one, we wore our lighter weight masks.  He was pleased to tell me he did fine.

I am well stocked now on TP, paper towels, and Klennix.

I have been getting all of my Costco stuff from their website. It's very efficient. I am not comfortable going to the store, as it is very crowded and there are long lines.

Last Friday night, my mom, who is not to go outside by herself, went outside to pick flowers.  We know she went out at least twice. The second time she fell had hit her head- we believe on the iron railing.  She tried to get up and scraped up her knees and ended up laying in the driveway for 12-18 hours until her caretaker arrived for work.  She called an ambulance.  Mom had a big gash over her eye and other on her forehead and was in pool of blood.   She was in the hospital for two days and is back home now. Her doctor wants  her to go to the nursing home, but we're still doing everything we can to avoid it .

Her caretaker arrived and saw the door was open, her cats were out and near her in the driveway, her walker and cane were in the driveway.  Krista jumped out of the car, her shoe broke as she ran...then she realized she hadn't put the car into park as it rolled down the driveway and was stopped by the fence. It wasn't funny at the time, but it is in hindsight, knowing she survived

That was what we thought until we found out it is fairly quiet in the afternoon between 12"30 & 2:30.  I am sure the Portland store we normally go to is more crowded.  We stayed in Washington.

People here wearing masks is about 50/50 anymore.  All restaurants have been cleared for 100% occupancy as tomorrow.  We still have COVID and it's spiking at the lakes right now, but I quit wearing a mask for the most part. I do believe in vaccines.  I thought about signing up for one of the trials that is taking place here, but decided not to

Ricky was also sick this week.  My vet is retiring so went back to the one that originally took care of Callie.  Ricky loves the pill pockets they recommended so giving him medicine isn't too bad and he's getting better.

Oh, my goodness! :(

I went to the hairdresser today for the first time since early March. Richard and I both wore masks, but many did not. Even with things rearranged a bit to allow more distance and altered schedules, there were still too many people to my liking. I may have to rethink things.

I would agree with you. So would the statistics on the growth of the virus' spread.
