I used to have a lot of screwdrivers, but then I quit drinking.

...and now our governor has tested positive for COVID-19...

Saw that. Scary.

His retest came back negative and there are those who say he used the positive result to avoid having to meet the president in Cleveland today.

Interesting theory as I have only heard of false negatives, not false positives.

I have heard of both.

Oh, no!  Brent Carver Dies: Tony Award-Winning ‘Kiss Of The Spider Woman’ Actor Was 68. :(

Very sad news. He was also in My Dinner at Albertine's*, a weird attempt not to musicalize Proust.

He was also in PARADE.

*I just remembered that the correct title is My Life With Albertine

That was probably the first recording that I had with Kelli O'Hara.  She was in Sweet Smell of Success the year before, but I think that I didn't get that one right away.

The video editing software that my sister's boyfriend recommended is called VideoReDo.

I've been using it and really like that it's fairly easy to use.

We could just say “hello” back in forth for ten minutes.

The program automatically checked for an update, and there is a new version available.

We could just say “hello” back in forth for ten minutes.

Or sing a socially distanced version of "Please, Hello" from Pacific Overtures! :D

I love that score!  The complete original Broadway production was filmed for Japanese television (but never released in the US) and the whole show is available on YouTube HERE!

Anyway, getting back to VideoReDo, I upgraded to version 6 (at a discount, so that was good) and already there are a couple of new options that make it better than the version 5 that I have!

One of my absolute all-time favorite musical theater songs is Someone in a Tree, from Pacific Overtures.

I hate to sound dumb, but you use this before you transfer it to a DVD?

It's not a dumb question.  Yes.  I record from my DVR to my computer with a video capture program (I forget the name right now), then use VideoReDo to edit out commercials and the beginnings and endings of the recordings, then that saves it to a file format that can be used by Nero to burn onto discs (DVD or Blu-ray).
