DR Jane I'm guessing that you don't watch The Masked Singer. But there is a good chance that one of the singers might be Leslie Odom Jr.

Last night we watched Lily Tomlin and Art Carney in The Late Show, which I had not seen since its first release.  I had remembered it as a comedy, which it most certainly is not, and I remembered that the mystery is begun when Lily Tomlin's character tries to hire Art Carney's PI to retrieve her cat. Carney is quite wonderful, as is Bill Macy as a piece of LA lowlife. Much as I love Tomlin, who's wonderful, her chattery character drove me crazy; I kept wanting to yell STFU! at her.

I watched it again a few years back. I, too, had misremembered it as a comedy. And while I found Tomlin’s character irritating, I think that was the way she was directed.

And written.

Same dude. Robert Benton, right?

TOD: I remember seeing protestors outside showings of "The Passion of the Christ" many years ago (late 1980's?)

That was a huge one. And there were protests outside The Scottsboro Boys.

The recent West Side Story revival had protests.

Thursday morning greetings!  We're keeping an even lower profile than usual since our trip, observing a 14-day quarantine - just in case.  We are going to venture out to pick up dinner from a new market downtown that we want to keep in business, but that will be the extent of our human interaction for the day.

I think the 11 votes were Arizona. NPR shows that Arizona went Biden; CNN isn't indicating either way. At least as of last night.

So, I've been thinking about Thanksgiving. Since everything is wacky, I'm thinking our holidays should be wacky as well.  I mean, we don't need to pretend everything is normal. At least it will be memorable.

So I'm thinking we can eat outside where it's safe. I have small tables I can set up. And we can just serve everyone's choice.

It looks like it would be four different kinds of potatoes and lasagna.

Good Morning.  The suspense of the election results is getting too much to bear around these parts.  Not to mention the behavior of the Republican Party.  Everything else is going well.  I ordered the new release, so that's exciting.

More later, if there is anything exciting!

DR Jane-you mentioned your friend Flip Mark being on The Andy Griffith Show.   I searched his name online and when I saw his photo I thought he looked familiar.  Then I looked at his credits and realized I had just seen him in the Doris Day movie "Please Don't Eat the Daisies" this morning.

Yes you did :)

Huffington Post says Biden has 264 electoral votes, and just now CBS News says he has 253. I owe you an apology, DR TCB.

The issue is Arizona. I saw on Facebook that they had called Arizona but the Fat Orange Slug raised a stink.

Right now, NBC shows 253, and Politico shows 264???

This is ridiculous, and the blame lands at the feet of the Fat Orange Slug who should be executed for treason, human trafficking, rape, crimes against humanity, and God knows how many other offenses.  The National Guard should be called in for the safety of the vote counters to arrest and jail these neanderthals.

Interesting.  If my good friend knows I am sure he isn't talking.  To my surprise he didn't even put this on FB.
Leslie Odom, Jr. sings 'Wait For It' in new election PSA.

The NY Times hasn't given Arizona to a candidate.  I watch the lower counts.  I am not sure if the protesters in Arizona are slowing down the counting-hopefully not.

If we are lucky we will get to chat with Freyja as Bryan is working on Thanksgiving.  Not sure what Craig will do, stay home I suppose so we will chat with him.

;D  It sounds a bit like our Thanksgivings where we all just picked a favorite dish we wanted to eat.  I think that year it was mac & cheese along with a variety of potatoes.  I am sure I would have added a vegetable.
