"...the ice is 2 feet thick."Until it's not.No, thank you.
I am sorry, DR Jeanne.
Yesterday I saw my osteopath, who is also my PCP. I booked it a month or two ago as a routine appointment, but I woke up last Monday morning with hives. I've been treating them homeopathically with very good success, but was still pleased to see the doctor in case I'd missed something. No, he confirmed that they were hives and approved of what I was doing. He said they can take as long as two weeks to go away. God, I hope not! They're itchy and most annoying! Given the progress I've made so far, I don't expect it to be that long.
Jane, regarding the unmasked taxi driver, I as told when I scheduled the ride that the driver would be wearing a mask. I was also told that I could request that he disinfect the vehicle. I requested, but had my doubts that this would take place. One of the most annoying aspects was that this was purportedly a medical transportation company, and those words were in the company name. In reality, all they do is contract with a local taxi firm. There is nothing medical about it. It galls me how they deliberately mislead people. It's difficult to complain because my medical transportation benefit, which pays for it, is so mired in bureaucracy. I do know that United Healthcare has changed to a different agency to arrange transportation. I haven't used them yet, but truly hope that they do more than read from a script.
We just discovered fresh water on out bathroom floor. So, another maintenance report filed with building management.I'm tempted to try DR elmore3003's friend's tactic: threaten to take a water sample to the Department of Health.
A question for DRs at large:What do you feel comfortable with these days?Indoor dining in a restaurant?Outdoor dining at a restaurant?Public transportation?Crowded spaces? (theatre, concerts, etc)Having cleaning help, plumbers, etc?In cars with others?
We are not comfortable leaving our apartment, frankly. We both have comorbidities, that, should we contract the virus, we would likely not fare very well.
Thursday afternoon greetings! We picked up groceries and a prescription at Kroger early this afternoon and I've been puttering at my desk for a while.
