Watched more Fool Us - some of those tricks are beyond amazing, especially the ones that fool them. I love when the teen magicians fool them. I think it's still on the air? I don't like the second gal host nearly as much as the redhead of the earlier seasons.

We also liked Alyson Hannigan but we also liked Jonathan Ross who left the series after 22 episodes.  I don't know why Hannigan left.

And then they’d ask you other questions, and then they’d play notes later on, and they’d say, ‘Which is the note we played from one hour ago?’ And I’d, like, get it right, I guess.”

Just got back from our local production of Into the Woods. They did a great job.

DR George, thank you for the important warning on the egg recall.  We are good as this is what we currently have in our refrigerator.

Re eggs: You'll be ok if you cook the eggs all the way. Make sure the yolks are hard.

Excellent point.

My eggs were one of the affected brands and expired June 19. Tossed them. Thanks to George for the heads up. Had four scrambled yesterday. You can cook the eggs well but still have issues if hands and surfaces weren’t properly cleaned.

I would have done the same. I just didn't want everyone to throw out all their eggs if they weren't affected.

I always overcook eggs. I hate bleeding eggs.

I like my scrambled eggs lightly cooked and I enjoy soft boiled eggs.  I take my chances.  At least boiling should help.  At home I always wash my hands immediately after cracking eggs.

A gracious good Sunday morning, all.

It has not escaped my attention that I was entirely remiss -- Oh! Yes!  I was "remiss" -- about posting yesterday.

I blame the fact that I arose much earlier than usual so that I could drive to Cook's Roadside Produce Stand and grab a few items I have been longing for all week.  One, a strawberry cake baked by Phil Trotter, The Cake Man hereabouts.  I have previously enjoyed his sour cream pound cakes.  He brings many cakes with him to Cook's on Saturday mornings and is usually sold out by the time I have previously made it there.  I arrived at 8 a.m. and he had about a dozen cakes stacked on his table!!

In addition, a local sourdough baker had set up a table with various loaves and rolls.  I bought a loaf of sourdough.  I look forward to trying it.

Add to all that cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and red and yellow peppers.

I was home by 9:30 a.m., and I settled in for the rest of the day.  I made a wonderful salad for my lunch, and I managed to delay eating a piece of strawberry cake until last night around 8 p.m.  It was a struggle but it was worth it!

That was my day.  I didn't even go to the post office.

Yum!

I wasnt able to return last night to mention I had a big salad for dinner.  We went to McMenamins on the Columbia (as in the river) and sat outside. Keith and I both got their Aztec salad, minus the jalapeno.
romaine, corn & black bean salsa,
avocado, tortilla strips, cheddar
cheese, tomato, jalapeño, cilantro,
onion, chipotle dressing

Though it isn't shown on the menu we know that they can add tofu to the salad.  Even though the dressing is a bit spicy for us we still get it.

I brought home about half of the salad and ate it tonight with additonal black beans, tofu, and veggies.

I’m with you. I’m told I am not allergic to eggs, but undercooked eggs can cause my throat to close up. I try to force down water, which causes it to abate, but I don’t like the feeling.

From experience, I can tell you that if your throat closes up enough then you can't breathe.  Can you eat cookie dough?

I'll probably watch Youtube clips of the shows this next week.

Our TV is stashed away in the garage due to our remodeling project, which includes replacing all the carpet and wood floors. The music / entertainment room is being changed from carpet to wood floors. So no Tony watching for me tonight.

Wow, all at once.  That is a big project.
