Saturday evening greetings!  I’ve been to 2 book discussions since my last post here.

Thursday evening my local AAUW friends met to discuss Ina Garten’s memoir.  Our hostess baked Ina’s brownie recipe for us and the consensus was - NO.

This morning I Zoomed with statewide AAUW friends to discuss The Women by Kristen Hannah.  While the story is an important one to tell, I wish it weren’t so soap opera-ish.

I think the family is coming over today. Snowdrop may come, too. Grandson will like that. I'll see if I can get a picture.

While I liked the book, and agree it was an important story to tell, it is not one of my favorie Kristen Hannah books.

Yesterday was a day!  My mom's youngest half-brother (same father, all my mom's other siblings had the same mother but different fathers) is visiting until next Friday.

Rehearsal's done and I've ordered fried catfish for food, even though I'm still a little nauseous. Nothing else sounded good to me.

So some years ago or so, my parents bought 10 acres of undeveloped property in the Rochester, WA area, about 15 miles south of where they lived (my mom still lives in the same house).

I haven't gone down there in more than 20 years, so I barely remember where it is, at all.

We were talking on Wednesday (I think) and the subject of the land came up, so eventually mom said that she'd take us there to show her brother, and I would get a reminder visit.
