TOD:

In view of recent events....I will ask.....what is your favorite Connie Francis song?  Did you own any of her 45s or LPs?  The second part is of course just for DRs of a certain age.  I could never figure out "hop in our jalopy to a drive in movie" for a long time....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GVBmHQeSNU

I had to look up the lyrics to understand what she was singing.  She also refferences dancing The Mash.  I remember The Monster Mash but not this song.  I don't remember anyone saying lets hop in the jalopy ;D

When I think of Connie Francis I think of Where the Boys Are.

I also remember that she is the reason we have security locks on hotel doors.

I was not a fan.  Years later we watched a special with her.  At that time she was basically singing Italian songs and I much preferred her singing those to her earlier songs.

DR Elmore, thanks for the recommendation - I’m going to watch that movie ASAP!

I forgot to mention it's on Amazon Prime.

Yes, that’s where I watched, and quite enjoyed, it.

Prince Andrew called her a prostitute and denied knowing her until this photo of him, Virginia, and Ghislaine showed up.

Speaking of Ghislaine Maxwell, this is an email I felt compelled to write to my brother Macbeth and his wife Lady Macbeth, after seeing the name of Florida attorney David Markus mentioned four times in two months in legal invoices in the estate matters of my parents.  (I know, smell me, Princess Grace!)
--------------
Hilary and Joann -
See my email below the other day to prominent Miami attorney David Oscar Markus, whose name is all over the Paul Berman attorney invoice ATTACHED.  No one needs to imagine it - There he is, his name David Markus spelled out on page 2 of the invoice, looking out for YOUR interests against me.

David Markus is the attorney for people on the level of Hillary Clinton and - in "headlines" right now - Ghislaine Maxwell -
And an attorney this prominent is also somehow so active in looking out for the interests of - wait for it! -  Hilary and Joann Landau???  Against me?  In matters relating to the estates of Rosalie and Naftali Landau?

Where is the money and pull that gets an attorney on his level involved in our family matters?

Fred
------------

I'm guessing there's a comedy routine to be found when Mr. David Markus is told Hilary is on the line, and doesn't know until he hears a male voice or a female voice whether it's Hillary Clinton or Hillary Landau!

Wow!

Earlier I started running at the nose and sneezing (allergies) like crazy, and it wasn't slowing down on its own so I popped my poison of choice (Benadryl) and am just now starting to feel relief. I'm putting off unloading the car till tomorrow. Hell with it. I'll run out and do my little bit of shopping, then I'm settling in for some comfortable eating and drinking and watching and general merriment.

I can't take Benadryl and drive so I usually only take it at night.

It gave me one hell of an unplanned nap in front of the TV, and boy did I feel drugged. Trying to come out of it now so I can get a couple more things done.

I hope it worked and tomorrow is a better day.

Canadian Football.....is that kind of liked American Rugby?

It began as rugby and evolved in parallel to take the form of American-style football, but it retains some elements of rugby. There are more ways to score through the kicking game. In fact the score at one point yesterday was 10-1 which is not a score you could see in US football.

There are three downs instead of four. So the game favors (or should I say favours) smaller, quicker dudes.

We have a fridge on the top, freezer on the bottom. But this is not provided by the apartment building; we purchased this ourselves.

Nice fridge.

Not a good day today. I feel like I've taken eight steps backward. Filled with endless gunk, nose and throat. I don't get it. Voice was fine this morning and hardly there at all now. Maybe it's from too little sleep, who knows, but I am so over this crap.

Think I'll turn on the vaporizer and try to get rid of this gunk a bit.

Hopefully, it's momentary and will go away - I really needed a good sleep and four hours didn't help.

DR JRand, the last time we bought a refrigerator we chose one with a pull-out freezer on the bottom.  It makes so much sense to have the things you look for most frequently (non-frozens) at eye level.  When the time came to select the appliances for our current home, we chose something very similar.

That's so great!

I really loved CNN's Christiane Amanpour stealing her brief section with two well-placed hand movements!

Oh no!  Might ordering chicken soup help with your voice at least?

What happened June 18, 2018?

If you mean that Colbert clip, IIRC the show ended in 2014.
